PRAYERS NEEDED FOR LEILA AND KORBI

There  are  some  of  my  new  Blog  Friends  that  may  not

know  the  story  of  LEILA,  My  Beloved  Daughters' Bestest

FRIEND  in  the  world.

This  is  a  picture  of  them  during  HAPPIER  TIMES.

They  are  posing  in  two  of  my  vintage  hats.

My  baby  girl  Amy  is  in  the  blue  hat  and  Leila  is  in

the  vintage  winter wool  beige  hat.

Just  about  a  year  into  Amy's  treatment,  LEILA

found  out  she  had  uterine, ovarian cancer  and  it  had

spread  through  her  stomach  lining  and  behind  her  liver.

She  was  so  happy  that  Amy  was  there  to  help  walk  her

through  the  chemo  experience...because  Amy  could

answer  questions  for  her  that  no  one  else  who  had

not  been  through  chemo  could.

Leila  had  been  on  an  experimental  drug  that  she  was  going

to  have  to  take  the  rest  of  her  life  until  another  chemo  could

be  discovered  to  destroy  this  deadly  cancer.

She  was  getting  very  thin  and  said  nothing  tasted  good.

She  worked  4  days  a  week  at  Staples.

She  worked  2  weeks  ago  Monday  and  the  next  day  fell

trying  to  keep  her  little  dog  from  running  into  the  street.

Korbi,  her  husband,  who  is  pictured  below,  took  Leila  to

see  her  Doctor.  Her  Doctor  did  not  think  things  looked

right  with  Leila  and  ordered  a  CT  SCAN  and  it  revealed

the  tumor  had  exploded  in  size.

She  spent  a  week  in  the  hospital,  came  home  1  day

and  was put  in  ICU  until  yesterday...they  moved  her  out

to  the  floor  and  the  Doctor  told  them  there  is  nothing

more  they  can  do  and  they  are  trying  to  set  up  hospice...

Leila  can  no  longer  walk  or  stand  because  of  severe

swelling  in  her  legs,  especially  upper  legs.

LADIES  AND  GENTS...WE  CAN  BE  FINE  TODAY

AND  TOMORROW  BATTLING  FOR  OUR  LIFE.

THAT  IS  WHY  THIS  WILL  ALWAYS  BE  A  PRAYING

BLOG.

I  know  the  dark  days  in  the  hospital...I  know  what  it  is

and  feels  like  to  watch  your  child  die.  I  have  battled  for

my  own  life  and  do  battle  to  keep  my  eye  sight  and  kidneys.

People  need  someone,  any  one  willing  to  stand  in  the  gap

and  intercede  to  Jesus  on  their  behalf  when  they  are  too

weak  to  do  so...and  YOU  are  that  person.

We  all  know  sad,  hard  times  and  that  is  why  we  must

not  forget  those  who  are.

IT  IS  NOT  DEPRESSING...IT  IS  AN  OPPORTUNITY  TO

REACH  OUT  AND  HELP  SOMEONE  IN  NEED.

May  I  introduce  you  to  Korbi.   Korbi  is  beside  himself.

Leila  is  his  whole  world.  I  have  never  seen  a  man  love

a  woman  as  much  as  he  does  Leila.   Korbi  is  very

hyper  and  when  it  comes  to  bad  news  about  Leila  he

will  wear  a  hole  in  the  floor  pacing...the  more  he  paces,

the  more  coffee  he  drinks.  Leila  keeps  Korbi   grounded.

THANK  YOU  FOR  YOUR  PRAYERS.

Prayers for everyone involved. God fill their hearts with peace and comfort as you lead them down this part of the path in their life. Let them know you are still there and in control. Give strength and mercy during the treatments. Father thank you for you mercy

Thank you for doing a praying blog.

This gal was Amy's best friend and she is dying? First of all prayers to her, her husband, and family.

But how did they both get cancer - I just wonder? It seems so odd. Please forgive me for asking.

Sending all positive thoughts & prayers! And thank you so much for using my image - it's perfect for this post!

Thanks so much for visiting last week - and big apologies for not visiting back last weekend. Things have been fairly hysterical, battling a heavy cold, long stints on the computer (with quite a few very late nights) but I'm finally catching up now!

Happy Pink Saturday and hugs from the UK!

Debbie, I am grateful that you use this blog the way you do. When I say my prayers I try to remember to include all people that have troubles - the people I know and those I do not know. Your blog is a great way for me to focus on those that I do not know, and thus those that none of us know. Prayers help the person praying also.

I am still going through your post prior to this one - so many pretty things to look at.

Have a good week.
