PLEASE PRAY FOR OKLAHOMA

Five confirmed tornadoes hit parts of

Oklahoma late yesterday afternoon.

There were 8 confirmed deaths...60 injured

and the Governor expects that to rise today.

Before I go any further please pray for a

family that lived outside of Piedmont.

The mother is expecting a child and she took

cover inside her home with 3 small children.

The mother is in the hospital...her 5 year old

daughter is in the hospital in critical condition...

their 15 month old son died in the hospital

last night and their 3 year old son is missing.

Their home was one of several, custom built homes

that were reduced to the slab in some cases.

These homes were built around a little lake and

from the pictures shown at least one third of the

lake is covered with wood splinters and boards

and this is what they are sifting through in boats,

to try to find this precious 3 year old. They searched

until 1130 pm last night and were back at day light

to search again.

The housing addition was called Falcon Lake.

This family has suffered the worst of worst

nightmares. Their name is the Hamil family, if

I spelled their name right and they say there is a lot

of information from their family and friends on

face book...I don't do face book, so I don't know.

The 3 year old missing boy is named Ryan Hamil.

Three people died driving a long I-40.

Many, many animals died...one miracle...the

tornado picked up a horse and dropped him

in an above ground swimming pool 150 feet

later. The horse they say is fine but I bet

he will be very spooked when a

thunderstorm comes...the water in the pool,

probably kept his legs from breaking.

I was reading a comment that Becca left me

in regards to the Joplin tornado.

She said this seems to be the year for people

dying in tornadoes. She is right. I cannot

remember a year that so many died related

to tornadoes...especially with advanced

technology to just about tell you the minute it

is coming to your town.

One home was a 3 story reduced to the front

ground level where the safe room is. The

owner and his family walked out.

One home burned to the ground a year a go

and they just finished rebuilding it and the

tornado leveled it.

These tornadoes also caused one death in

Kansas and three in Arkansas.

I saw some coverage of the tornado that

hit Alabama one month ago and it still

looks just like Joplin does now.

My prayers are with anyone that has

suffered such terrible loss and especially

the Hamil family and with the searchers

as they look for their 3 year old son.

Thank you for your prayers and for visiting

me today.

YOU ARE SPECIAL!!!!

MY DEEPEST PRAYERS ARE WITH JOPLIN

MY DEEPEST PRAYERS ARE SENT TO

AND FOR OUR NEIGHBORS IN JOPLIN,

MISSOURI, WHO ARE RECOVERING FROM

THE TORNADO THAT MADE ITS' WAY

ACROSS JOPLIN, SUNDAY EVENING.

THE HIGH SCHOOL WAS ALMOST DESTROYED,

WHERE IT WAS REPORTED, THEY WERE HAVING

SENIOR GRADUATION.

ST. JOHN'S HOSPITAL TOOK A DIRECT HIT,

BLOWING OUT WINDOWS AND TAKING OFF

MOST OF THE ROOF.

ALL THE PATIENTS HAD TO BE MOVED TO

DIFFERENT HOSPITALS.

A TORNADO OF COURSE DOES NOT PLAY

FAIR BUT TO HIT A HOSPITAL, A CHURCH FULL

OF PEOPLE, A SCHOOL, A DAY CARE CENTER,

A WAL MART FULL OF PEOPLE, OR

NURSING HOME IS HITTING BELOW THE BELT.

IN JOPLIN CHURCHES, A HIGH SCHOOL FULL

OF PEOPLE, A NURSING HOME, AND A WAL MART

SUPER CENTER WAS LEVELED.

89 PRECIOUS SOULS CONFIRMED DEAD AND

THEY EXPECT THAT TO RISE AS THERE ARE

MANY AREAS THEY CANNOT ENTER FOR GAS

LEAKS.

THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OF ALL JOPLIN'S

UTILITIES, FIRE DEPARTMENTS, AMBULANCES,

ETC. JUST CONCLUDED A NEWS CONFERENCE

AND SAID APPROXIMATELY 30% IS EITHER

PARTIALLY OR COMPLETELY DESTROYED.

EARLIER REPORTS ON VARIOUS NEWS STATIONS

REPORTED 75% OF JOPLIN WAS DESTROYED.

PRAISE THE LORD 75% WAS NOT DESTROYED BUT

FAR TOO MANY LIVES WERE LOST...BUT THE

TORNADO HIT AT A VERY BUSY TIME.

EACH ONE OF YOU AND EACH PERSON

IN JOPLIN, MISSOURI.

MY GREATEST PRAYER IS THAT EACH NEED

IS MET AND MAY YOU KNOW, FEEL, AND

EXPERIENCE THE LOVE OF JESUS THROUGH

THE KINDNESS OF STRANGERS.

MAY YOU FIND COMFORT AND PEACE.

MAY THE LIVES OF THOSE TRAPPED IN

THE WRECKAGE BE FOUND ALIVE AND LORD

KEEP EACH RESCUE WORKER SAFE.

I WILL PRAISE YOUR NAME LORD FOR

YOU ARE WORTHY TO BE PRAISED.

YOU ARE A GOD OF MIRACLES ...

YOU ARE A HEALING JESUS...

AND I WILL RUN TO YOU LORD,

DURING THE STORM.

I WON The Bloggerette Sorority Give Away

This is RUSH WEEK

at the

Sister in the Bloggerette Sorority.

Debi, our lovely hostess, has prepared

some fun activities over the past month.

One fun thing to me was to visit a sister we

had not visited before and find out 2 or 3 things

about them and come back to the Bloggerette

Sorority Blog and post a comment about them.

Your name is then placed in a drawing.

I won the Mother's Day drawing.

My birthday is also on May 10th and I was

so excited to hear that I HAD WON.

Last year around Mother's Day I won a

beautiful little teapot from Olivia's Romantic

Home......

and now this year at Mother's Day, this

stunning give away.

I believe my beloved Amy, had something

to do with it...it was such a special day

for us.

The tag was so pretty with the beautiful

bauble attached to it. It was wrapped so

pretty with an elegant ribbon.

The box it arrived in was wrapped in

the beautiful rose paper that the package

is setting on.

This was the beautiful ribbon that was wrapped

around the package with my favorite little delicate

flowers.

I won't yap too much after this, so you can enjoy

looking at the treasures I won. I wish my pictures

would show how truly beautiful the treasures are.

This is Andy Pandy...Quality Assurance.

He examines any package coming in or

going out. He does his job very well.

He is laid back but obsessive/compulsive,

terrified of storms, and loves everyone.

He is such a good boy.

You cannot imagine how well she packed

this beautiful trinket box.

It was full of beautiful things.

This is a close up of the stunning trinket

box...it has such beautiful colors and the

shape is unique.

There is a pink velvet ribbon...I love the feel

of velvet.

To the left, at the back of the picture, is the

most elegant, Marie Antoinette-type lace.

Well, it was just all so beautiful.

THANK YOU DEBI.

THERE IS A SPECIAL PLACE FOR YOU

IN MY HEART.

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK

TO MAKE THE SISTER BLOGGERETTE SORORITY,

A SPECIAL PLACE TO COME.

IF YOU WERE THINKING ABOUT JOINING...

NOW IS THE TIME. IT IS OPEN TO ANY

ONE.

and keep you in His loving arms.

HAVE A BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY

SOME WHERE IN TIME

My Blissfull ATC swap partner for May

was Fran, The Bagg Lady.

I refer to her as Sweet Fran.

Her blog url is

As I posted earlier this week, our theme

for May was,

"Let's go to the movies!"

I AM NOT A sy-fi person...but there was

one movie that was my all time favorite.

"SOME WHERE IN TIME!"

I cried and cried at the end and could not

look at a penny for a long time.

Sweet Fran created the most elegant ATC

from that movie...right down to the year

of the penny, that the movie was made.

You cannot see the beautiful netting that

peaks out from under the vintage flower...

I did not take pictures of how beautifully it

was packaged but it was wrapped in pattern

pieces with vintage crochet edging holding it

closed...just beautiful.

She could not have made me anything more

perfect.

I am just not a big movie fan but that is my

all time favorite movie. I watch it every time it

comes on, even though I KNOW, it is a

tear-jerker.

I truly wish my scan of this elegant

ATC would show how beautiful it is in

person. The background is steam punk.

Everything just perfect to the era.

Fran included this awesome Gourmet

coffee called Mackinac Island Fudge.

Almost 27 years ago, we went to see

our friends in Greyling, Michigan. I so

wanted to visit there, but we just were

not able too.

Mackinac Island is where Some Place

In Time, took place.

The coffee will be taken to my son's, so

he can drink some after surgery.

and keep you in his loving arms.

You are special.

You are unique.

You have gifts and talents inside of

you, that no one else has.

You are loved.

Thank you Sweet Fran.

BUBBLEGUM AND DUCTTAPE

There is a wonderful blogger by

the name of Maria.

Her blog is called

BUBBLEGUM AND DUCT TAPE.

Maria is beyond talented...she is

running over with ideas...and I might

humbly brag that the mayor of her town

follows her blog.

A couple months back Maria gave a

tutorial on how to make a miniature

book necklace.

You will find it here at

2011/04/miniature-book-pendant-tutorial_

27.html.

I was the blessed soul of one of her

beautiful, miniature book pendants.

Being the sweetie, she is, she said I could

choose any book I wanted.

She told me if I wanted, she would even

make me a Bible.

I chose the Bible...even though I have

failed the Lord so many times, I still try

to live my life according to His Holy Word.

Please look at the detailed stitching around

this miniature, tiny Bible and it has pages

inside, that if you write very small, you

can write your favorite scripture.

Maria, it is just beautiful.

You are awesome.

I loved looking at your recent pictures

of the rain from the train.

I love pictures of the different cities

skylines and yours are gorgeous.

And keep you in his loving arms.

My prayers continue to be with the

flood victims, the tornado victims and

those who have lost their loved ones.

I pray everyone that lives in these

flooding areas will be able, one day,

to raise their

house on stilts like the farmer and his son

did.

They say once you live a long the river

there is no other place to live.

I think I can believe that. When we

were coming home from a camp meeting,

many years ago,

we stopped to eat in Louisville,

Kentucky and had lunch at a restaurant

open to the river.

I felt like Tammy and wanted to find

her house boat on the river. I loved

watching the big boats go down the river...

it was awesome and comforting at the same

time.

Excuse me...I had a happy memory there

for a moment.

My prayers continue for every man, woman,

and child...battling cancer...THEY ARE HEROES.

We had a young man from our town,

Austin Box,

Star player on the University of Oklahoma

football team...

22 years old...

found dead at the home of a friend

in El Reno, Oklahoma.

I won't say what he died from because

the autopsy reports are not in...

His family is devastated.

The funeral is Thursday, May 26, 2011.

Please remember them in your prayers.

You are very special and I love it when

you stop by for a visit.

MAY'S BLISSFULL ATC SWAP

HELLO EVERYONE!!

How are you this bright Wednesday

morning?

I have just about had it with blogger...

They won't answer your questions.

My first problem was lightening struck

our Internet provider and it was down

several days as they waited for a part....

then blogger went down...

then I went down.

I will probably have to have another

colonoscopy.

My precious son is having knee surgery

on May 26Th at high noon.

He has never had surgery before, thus

he has had no anesthesia, so

I PRAY, ALL WILL GO WELL FOR HIM.

I participate in the

Wendy is our lovely hostess and

creator.

The theme this month is

LET'S GO TO THE MOVIES.

Now when I went to post I just had

the little wheel in the center go

around and around...I switched to old

Editor and it allowed me to post

pictures which I did 6 times and could

not get them in the right order or

even delete duplicates.

My ATC Partner is

Sweet Fran

She loves oranges and browns and I

ALREADY HAD MINE MADE and wondered

WHY IN SPRING I was making a little

book in mostly orange and browns....

so you will see the last pages first.

God cares about even the little things that

make us happy.

This is the last page of the booklet.

It contains the ATC I made for her.

I can post this now because Fran

received the package last Thursday.

This was the first page I made to

hold the ATC and I really liked it

but........

...but the construction paper did not

hold. As I was doing the final inspection

before putting it in the mailer...I was just

sick it had tore but so very glad I found

the mistake so I could fix it.

Fran loves Nancy Drew.

Her ATC of course had to be a

Nancy Drew Movie.

She has a wipe board to write clues

on, even though it was made after

Nancy Drews' time..

Of course there is always the

"concession stand"

with the glass case of chocolate

screaming your name and the pop-

corn turning your senses into a

zombie state...

"sure I'll pay anything for that smell".

My husband nor I have been to a

movie in years...15 or more.

Of course you must buy the ticket.

I love to keep my ticket stubb from the

movie or anything I attend.

This is the front of the book. It was

tied together with a orange/bronze colored

vintage ribbon from West Germany.

It was fun making it and Fran said she is

putting it on her inspiration board.

This is the thank you card I made

for Fran.

PLEASE REMEMBER ALL THE FLOOD

VICTIMS. For some, their home is all

they have. May they feel and see God's

hands at work.

I was in the worst flood that ever

hit our town. My husband and I were

trapped in a grocery store...it was a very

scarey time.

PLEASE REMEMBER IT IS

RUSH WEEK

AT THE

BLOGGERETTE SORORITY.

DEBI HAS WORKED VERY HARD TO

MAKE THIS A FUN TIME.

IF YOU RUSHED LAST YEAR, YOU

CAN RUSH AGAIN...but you don't

have to.

There are alot of new Sisters to

"WELCOME!"

"WHERE FLOWERS BLOOM SO DOES

HOPE!"

~Lady Bird Johnson

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR

SPENDING A PART OF YOUR DAY

WITH ME.

I SO ENJOY HEARING FROM YOU.

IT MAKES MY DAY HAPPY

AND I FEEL BETTER.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE DOWN,

PLEASE, PLEASE REMEMBER HOW

VALUABLE YOU ARE AND SAY A LITTLE

PRAYER AND ASK GOD TO SHOW YOU

THE GIFTS HE HAS PLACED WITHIN YOU.
