I am sure that at sometime you have heard the
statement, Honor The Sabbath Day and Keep it
Holy.
It is that little word HOLY, that makes those not
serving the LORD, think, that a "CHRISTIAN," is
"HOLY"...better than them...that they are losers because
they won't smoke, drink, and have wild sex...they won't
make fun of the fat person or the disabled person,
and they will not pass on
rumors that are not true.
Do you know how many christians, teenagers
and adults,
try to kill themselves
over rumors that are vicious lies...they feel isolated while
the groupies are laughing and deciding who to hurt next.
I pray that none of you dear people follow that kind of
group. I have two friends that really like me but will
only e mail me because they don't want a member of
their group to see they talked to me.
I DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT I DID TO BE ABANDONED.
I do think it is very selfish to say I am not going to
follow your blog because the group want.
I serve the Lord not the group...
and least not those who come around to stir up
trouble by trying to catch you saying bad things...........
LIFE IS SO VERY FULL OF SADNESS AND SICKNESS TO
PLAY SUCH CHILDISH GAMES. GROW UP....YOU'RE ADULTS
YOU COULD BE SUCH HELP TO PEOPLE
Is that not sad, because they are being controlled by the
"fear" of being abandoned by their "friends."
That makes me cry.
NO ONE SHOULD HAVE THAT KIND OF CONTROL OVER
ANYONE...that is how the devil works...
The Bible says: "If any of you lacks wisdom,
you should ask God, who gives generously to all
without finding fault, and it will be given to you."
~James 1: 5
God will give all of us wisdom, if we only ask.
I would choose wisdom over all the riches in the world.
TO HONOR THE SABBATH DAY AND KEEP IT
HOLY, to me means...
1. praising the Lord for every issue
2. refraining from your TV and games and
studying Psalms and another chapter in
the bible
3. spend some family time singing and
enjoying the day, the Lord and each other.
4. Talk about wisdom, salvation, and teaching
your children how to worship the lord
5. there is no better way to start your week

Debbie, I can't imagine someone not being friends with a person because they are a Christian, but I guess it does happen. How terribly sad.
I have found that most people I know (bloggers and non bloggers) are just trying to make it through life, day to day and just want a little kindness along the way from others. I think it behooves us as Christians to try our best to walk with Him and walk in love toward our fellow man. After all, that's the first commandment: to love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your might and to love your neighbor as yourself. And one way to do that is to pray for others and their needs. You are doing just that.
Happy Sunday to you...
XO,
Sheila :-)
I hope you have a blessed Sunday and that others read your beautiful post.
While I certainly do believe you, I can't believe some people would do that to you, sweetpea! How childish and petty of them. I preach, teach and nag holiness to friends. Sabbath for us is Church, then spending time together. No shopping, no eating out, no buying gas, nothing but staying home and fixing a simple meal so I don't have to work all day. It's a time to relax and reflect on God in our opinion. I've always wondered what "Keeping Sabbath Holy" meant to others.
I'm so sorry your friends don't publicly acknowledge you. How rude of them to want the vain wishes of the world to ignore you. And what have you done to warrant this kind of behavior?! My sympathy, dear one.
xoxo,
Connie
Thank you for this post, your wise words and beautiful illustrations and the prayer requests you list.
I THINK WE SHOULD CONCENTRATE THE GOOD THINGS. GAURD OUR HEARTS, MINDS AND SPEAK THE TRUTH. CARE FOR THOSE AROUND US AND THE ONES THAT ARE PLACED UPON OUR HEARTS. YOU ARE A CARING FRIEND AND A PRAYING FRIEND. I HOPE YOU WILL NOT BE TROUBLED BY ADVERSITY AND KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE PRIZE. WELL DONE, MY FRIEND.

At my age, I don't worry if I'm friends or not with most people...following the Lord is more important, isn't it? it does hurt a bit though, we are only human....I'll be praying for God's comfort...love your prayer request line...could you pray for us...no money coming in now...we are owed but not being paid,
since we 'become' what we 'behold' it serves us well to behold Christ firstly and become like Him rather than focussing on any other replacement. and as we focus on Him we become the LOVE that He is. we will never win another other than by LOVE... rules and regs are the world's way to control. Christ is GRACE & Peace... as you focus your mind on Him today, let His Peace mount a guard around your heart & mind just as He promises to do when we follow that Christlike path...
Debbie, I don't understand people like these you've mentioned. I'm so thankful that there are people like you in the world who are loving, giving, and forgiving. Life is difficult at best and we should all love and help and pray for each other, not try to bring anyone down. You are a dear for sharing your blog and your prayers. God loves you and so do I!
Sweet Debbie,
I will pray for those precious souls! What a Blessing a blog has given me! I give God all the glory in my life. He is first and He leads me in the right direction. Sometimes I might stumble off the beaten path, but He always shows me the way.
You touched my heart as I scrolled down and read the sweetest comments from you about my blog, my art and me...
I never knew blogging would change my life. I have truly found a gentle Christian heart in you! Thank you Debbie for sending your sweet friends my way and I will surely do the same.
Angels unaware....`nough said.
Blessings and Sweet Dreams~

Hi there Debbie!
Thank you so much for the visit and your sweet comments...it's always great to hear from you.
I hope you're having a great start to a new week.
Oh, and to answer your question - no, the half doll lamp doesn't work. I removed the original wiring because it was just too old to be safe. I did keep the original dress which was dry rotted - thought it could be used as a pattern for another.
Hugs,
Sabre'
Blessings to you today!

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for visiting me over at my site. It's always fun to meet new people, especially those who share the same interests!
I'd love to write more but I had a heck of a day and need to sleep now. Will chat later!

Sweet Simply Debbie, We will agree to pray for those who would despise us because we love the Lord.
You are a blessing to many people. Just keep on serving the Lord and doing his will.
Our treasure is not of this world. Our supreme treasure will be our entering into his presence.
Be not faint of heart. We love you. Your friend in Christ, Ginger
Hi Debbie,
Beautiful post in honor of the Sabbath.
You are right, this country needs jobs most of all. Everything else will fall into place after that in this country.
*hugs always*
I DON'T GET THAT EITHER DEBBIE - I CAN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHY THEY TOLD YOU THAT. I'M SO SORRY. (HUG)
WE NEED TO QUIT WORRYING WHAT OTHERS THINK - AND WORRY WHAT GOD THINKS.
LOVE,
SANDIE
Debbi,
I absolutely love this. How amazing is our God? :)
