A SAFE HARBOR

     Dear  SANDY  HOOK  ELEMENTARY,

I  do  not  believe  there  is one  person  in  this  United  States  of  America  and  around  the  world  who  has  not  shed  tears  for  your  school  Family.

There  was  a  true  movie  many,  many  years  ago  where  three  brothers  died  on  the  same  ship,  I  believe,  and  at  the  end  of  the  movie  they  showed  the  three  brothers  saluating  as  they  disappeared  in  the  clouds  of  heaven.   They  say,  this  movie  caused  so  much  sadness  they  had  to  stop  showing  it.

Twenty  precious  babes  waving  good-bye  as  they  skipped  toward  heaven  with  Jesus,  their  principle  and  teachers  leading  them  would flood the  movie  show  with  tears.

I  was  praying  early  this  morning  and  these  scripture  came  to  me....

(28)"LORD  HELP!"  they  cried  in  their  trouble;  and  he  saved  them  from  their  distress.

(29)He  calmed  the  storm  to  a  whisper  and  stilled  the  waves.

(30)What  a  blessing  was  the  stillness  as  he  brought  them  safely  into  harbor.

                                 ~PSALM  107: 28-30  NLV

What  a  storm  hit  you  yesterday.  I  pray  you  have  found  that  safe  harbor  in  Jesus  where  you  can  stay  calm,  think,  reflect,  and  find  some  sleep.   We  who  live  so  far  from  you,  will  hold  you  up  in  prayer,  while  your  neighbors  and  friends  protect  you  and  feed  you.

lifting you  in  prayer
Simply  Debbie

Debbie- I remember reading that story about the 3 brothers that perished. I believe there was a 4th son and the military excused him from the service so that the parents would still have one son living.

I see those 20 babies being shepherded by their teachers as they ran into the arms of God. God bless those empty arms left on Earth- xo Diana

I didn't know what to expect when I started making the rounds tonight. It seems so surreal and most unbearable but you have lifted my heart with your beautiful words, and I thank you. take care.

Beautiful scriptures Debbie... My daughter is a teacher, and I work with young children myself; and this tragic incident has absolutely broken my heart. Among my prayers, I ask God to turn our legislators' attention not just to gun control, but to the issue of mental health.. I've been saying this as soon as I'd first heard of this horrific act. Then this morning I read Morgan Freeman was speaking similarly! My voice might not be heard so readily by our elected officials, but hooray if HIS IS! ~tina
