HOPE...It is what gets us from A to B in life. JESUS IS OUR HOPE. HE IS OUR ONLY HOPE.
"For I know the plans I have for you," saith the LORD.
"They are plans for good and not for diaster, to give you a future, and a hope."
~JEREMIAH 29: 11
I was able to insert a picture for the first time and
will see if it is still there where when I post...yippee.
The Ostrich is a very interesting bird. It is the fastest
bird on legs with a speed of 80 kmph. I ask you, can you
imagine yourself riding sidesaddle without the saddle at 80 kmph. That is a funny thought but I would not want to be
the one riding it.
The brain of the ostrich is smaller than its eyes but that does
not mean it is a stupid bird. In fact, it is quite intelligent.
Scientists no longer believe in the myth that the ostrich buries
its head in the sand in times of danger. Instead it sits and
stretches its neck along the sand.
The female ostrich is dull brown in color while the male
is black. They use this color difference very effectively as
they take turns in guarding their eggs. The female is called
a hen and lays 14 eggs that are 120cm long and 15 cm in
diameter. wowzer...that is alot.
Ostriches are being farmed for their meat and
beautiful feathers. In some places they are also trained to
pull carts but they must be approached very carefully as
they have a kick that will break bones.
It has a peculiar habit of running round in circles.
I was thinking of this Christmas season but also all year
long as we run in circles. How many feel like they are
running as fast as they can and they are going no where.
It seems like we are just dividing ourselves in many pieces.
Running in circles or expanding your circles...
It is good to be involved in things but not when it keeps
you so busy you complain all the way to the activity and
then cry all the way home because you signed up to head
three more fund raisers...reasoning they had no one to do
it. You are running in circles.
Expanding your circles...God has given each one of us
an assignment and the gift to complete it, that no one
else can do. Volunteer in a soup kitchen where there
are no pats on the back just the dull eyes that have lived
tooo hard and have seen too much that look back at you.
I was always soooo very proud that my two children
were/are not afraid to hug and help those that most
would not give the time of day too. My mother, is like
her Dad and they would/will help the less fortunate. I have
one relative that would not give the homeless, the time of
day, stating they deserve what they get. Jesus did not hang
out with the rich.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the
Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things,
and bring things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you.
~JOHN 14: 26
GOD'S message was preached in ever-widening circles. The number of believers greatly increased in Jerusalem, and many of the Jewish priests were converted too.
~ACTS 6: 7
Many thanks to those who have visited me. What a blessing you are.
Wishing you all a beautiful Christmas season all year long
Hugs and Prayers
