WHICH TREES ARE TRULY GREEN

ONLY  IN  WINTER  CAN  YOU  TELL  WHICH  TREES  ARE  TRULY  GREEN.

ONLY  WHEN  THE  WINDS  OF  ADVERSITY  BLOW  CAN  YOU  TELL

WHETHER  AN  INDIVIDUAL  OR  A  COUNTRY  HAS  STEADFASTNESS.

~JOHN  F.  KENNEDY

THESE ARE  FAUX  FUR  WEARING  DAYS.   I  LOVE  THIS  PICTURE  AND  I  AM

SURE  THIS  LADY  IS  NOT  WEARING  FAUX  FUR.   I   WAS  ON  SOME  BLOGS,

THIS  MORNING  WHERE  SOME  WOMEN  WERE  WEARING  THEIR  FURS  AND  OTHERS  WOULD

ONLY  WEAR  FAUX.   ONE  LADY  WAS  SAYING  THAT  EVEN  WHEN  SHE  WEARS

HER  FAUX  FURS,  SHE  GETS  AWFUL  LOOKS  FROM  PEOPLE.   ONE  LADY  CAME  UP

TO  HER  WITH  THE  MEANEST  LOOK  WEARING  LEATHER  AND  SAID,  "HOW  COULD

YOU?"   SHE  TOLD  HER,  "THIS  IS  FAUX  FUR,  SO  IF  YOU  ARE  THINKING  ABOUT

THROWING  PAINT  ON  ME,  IT  BETTER  BE  FAUX  PAINT.  AND  HOW  DARE  YOU  WEAR

LEATHER  WHEN  IT  IS  MADE  FROM  EMBYROES (I  KNOW  I  SPELLED  THAT  WRONG).

IT  IS  THE  LITTLE  BABIES  THAT  MAKE  THE  SOFTEST  LEATHER,  SO  THEY  SAY."

I  HAVE  ONE  MINK  COAT  THAT  I  BOUGHT  AT  A  THRIFT  SHOP  FOR  $5.75.   I

WAS  GOING  TO  COVER  A  VANITY  STOOL  WITH  IT.   IT  IS  STILL  HANGING

IN  THE  CLOSET.

DO  YOU  OWN  A  FUR  AND  DO  YOU  WEAR  IT.

URGENT  PRAYER  REQUEST:

ROY  AND  ELISABETH

SHARON

SO  VERY  MANY  ARE  IN  NEED  OF  PRAYER......ASHLEY,  BECKY,  JUDY,  DONNA,

ROSE'S  DAUGHTER,  AMY,  CINDY,  DORIS AND RICHARD,  ROBBI  AND  JEFF,

PEGGY,  IRENE,  RICHARD,  TAWNA  AND  MIKE,  CASEY,  ALL  THOSE  WHO

NEED  JOBS,  OUR  MILITARY,  OUR  POLICE  AND  FIRE  PEOPLE,  MAGGIE,  MMM,

TOM,  VICKY  VAUGHN'S  MINISTRY,  ALL  THOSE  WITH  DEMENTIA  AND  ANYONE

IN  NEED  OF  PRAYER,  INCLUDING  UNSPOKEN  PRAYER  REQUESTS.

A  GRACIE  ANN  PECK  TO  YOU

GRACIE  ANN  IS  NOT  LATE  OR  EARLY  FOR  SALLY'S  BLUE  MONDAY............

SHE  DOES  NOT  WANT  TO  GET  AWAY  FROM  THE  HEATER

SHE  IS  VERY  COLD

THE  TEMP  IS  10  DEGREES  WITH  A  MINUS  8  WIND  CHILL

UGH, sounds like our weather! NO, I don't wear fur. My mother had a rabbit fur coat when I was a teenager and I told her in no uncertain terms that I did not approve, finally she got rid of it. You know how I am with animals, this post could go on forever..............................................................................................................

Good Morning Debbie, oh yes I own 9 faux fur jackets and coats and they do look real. I use to buy a new coat every winter and these are very warm for our winters....trouble is they never wear out. I have far too many coats, wool, down filled....I think it's time I passed a few on to those who need a coat. Our winters last so long here Debbie, we only have about 4 months out of the year that we don't have to wear such warm clothing. Have a wonderful day my friend....:-) Hugs

I actually have a jacket and a coat both with real mink collars...they are very vintage looking, they were my MIL'S and my husbands grandmother....I wear them and love them.
Hope you are having a great day.....and stay WARM!
Hugs,
Lynn

"Please move over, Gracie Ann, and give me some room by the heater, because I am freezing, too!!!"

UGH this weather. But...nature knows what it's doing...I'm holding onto that thought, anyway...

I accidentally bought some minks once. I mean MINKS, the little animals, only they were dried, I guess...I thought it was a bag of velvet scraps...my cats played and played with the poor things...

I like the faux fur best, because for one thing, I can get it in PINK, lol!!!

I haven't worn real FUR since I owned a Rabbit Coat while in College.

The hare (oops, I mean HAIR) went up my nose so I gave it away.

I'm not a fan of killing animals for pleasure...but then...I eat chicken...so...I'm wondering what to do~

Hmmmm....

Love to you~

No fur coats here. I think that this cold weather we're having is just awful, however, I know it's worse in many areas. It's just Texas like this. :-)

"When two or more are gathered in my name..." and yes, I agree with you in prayer. I have been asking God to please watch over anyone that has to be outside working, the homeless and all animals too.

Howdy Debbie
Blessings to you precious lady.
My prayers are added to yours for all those you listed today .
I have a mink coat that was given to me after my hubbys grandmother passed away .Her daughter gave it to her back in the 1940's.
It is still hanging in the back of our closet.
I only saw her wear it one time it was during a cold winter like this one and the snow just kept falling all winter. She lived in Amarillo,Tx.
I wore it a few years ago when we had a freak snowstorm on Easter .I had no heater in my vehicle and it was an hour drive to work.
Boy I thought people were going to kill me with torches or stone me to death.
Sometimes we are all to quick to jump to conclusions before we get the facts .
I think that is one of the reasons I was drawn to your blog .Your love for your fellow man .
As Christians it is important to love first.
I am really rambling today.
Big hugs with lots of love
Happy Trails

I do have a fur coat, that was a gift many years ago. I don't think I've put it on in a dozen years easily. I wear a down coat -- I get really cold in faux fur -- and keep nice and cozy. Not expensive and very light to wear.
Hugs and good wishes and keep warm!

No fur coats for me - never have. My mom actually had a couple of real minks.

We had some snow here today in GA - 1/2 inch - and of course the schools are closed.

Love and hugs,
Sandie

Yes, I have a real fur coat which I bought at a consignment store back in the 80's (before vintage was cool). I wore it at Christmas when we walked to a party one night while it was snowing.
