WARM THE WINTER MONTHS IN A SPECIAL WAY

ONE KIND WORD CAN WARM
THREE WINTER MONTHS.
~JAPANESE PROVERB
THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD GOD IS UPON ME; BECAUSE THE LORD HATH
ANOINTED ME TO PREACH GOOD TIDINGS UNTO THE MEEK; HE HATH SENT ME
TO BIND UP THE BROKEN-HEARTED, TO PROCLAIM LIBERTY TO THE CAPTIVES,
AND THE OPENING OF THE PRISON TO THEM THAT ARE BOUND
(2.) TO PROCLAIM THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD, AND THE DAY OF
VENGEANCE OF OUR GOD; TO COMFORT ALL THAT MOURN;
(3.) TO APPOINT UNTO THEM THAT MOURN IN ZION, TO GIVE UNTO THEM
BEAUTY FOR ASHES, THE OIL OF JOY FOR MOURNING, THE GARMENT OF
PRAISE FOR THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS; THAT THEY MIGHT BE CALLED
TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE PLANTING OF THE LORD, THAT HE
MIGHT BE GLORIFIED.
~ISAIAH 61: 1-3

Thanks for the bouquet of roses. You probably know by now how much I love roses.

Let's spread those KIND WORDS... Maybe it will help warm us all up... It's FRIGID here in TN... I needed that kindness.

Change is a good thing. It's not always easy. It's not always what we want. But it makes us better for it. Hugs, flowers, butterflies, and chickens for you.

Gracie Ann is a doll and I love her. I am happy to see you have a new blog, a new year and another day......like we said many times in the past, one day at a time.......still hard, but none the less, necessary. We are here for you always. I love the roses, you are far too generous, it is I that should be giving you roses, I love them so, thankyou so much. I will be following you and looking forward to seeing Gracie Ann change her colors, Char

Hi Debbie! Always remember how very much God loves you; and how very much our friends, old ones and new ones, love and care about us more than we realize!.. Blogging has so very often restored my faith in people; and time and time again, it reassures me that the world is NOT the dark and ugly place it can sometimes feel like. I count the friend I found in you, and in so many others this past year, as wonderful blessings!.. I wish you the very BEST in the year ahead! God bless, and Happy New Year to you "Simply Debbie"! ((hugs)) ~tina

Thank you so much for visiting so I could find you! Love the new blog. What a great way to ring in the new year. I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad that you have found the strength to carry on. Sometimes that is the hardest part. I lost my mother to cancer. Even though I am glad that her suffering over, my selfish side still wishes for one more hour with her.

Sheba is not a harlequin. I wanted to get a harlequin. She is all black with some white patches. She is an awesome dog. She has the best personality and is so patient with her "partner in crime" aka my 3 year old.

Here is hoping that this year, all your chickens are happy colored!

Debbie, Thank you for letting me know you started a new blog. I love it. I know your pain so well. I am like you...I can't wait to the day I see my sweet Amber in Heaven as you do your sweet Amy. Can you imagine what a glorious Christmas they had this year! It gives me comfort to know we will see each other again. I think of you daily ... we will keep in touch. May the New Year bring you happiness.
Blessings & BIG HUGS,
Donna

Hi Debbie,
What a wonderful new blog for the start of what I pray will be a wonderful new year for you and Richard. I love Gracie Ann and here's a little peck * just for her! I am sensing peace in your words which is something I have prayed hard and long for. Blessings to you my friend as we journey through this new year together. Big hugs, Loretta

I now remember a saying of my mother's:
I love you a bushel and a PECK and a hug around the neck!!!

So maybe that is the kind of PECK that Gracie Ann is going to give...

That chicken I drew is actually just my very poor rendition of one created by a wonderful gal named Darlene. She blogs at Chicken Scratch Farm and is she ever talented at scrappin, painting, baking, and more!!!

Hi Debbie:
I saw on your other blog you were under the weather...me too. But I am up and about once again and hoping to blog some this week. I tried to post a comment but my computer was too slow to load the comment section.
I like the title of your new blog and the header picture.
Gee, If I knew you wanted a chicken I would of sent you one of mine, lol. I never knew they had such personalities, I get a kick out of ours.
I hope 2010 is good to you and your family.

Debbie,
Thanks for stopping by my blog..
Sadly the pain of loosing a child never goes away. My heart truly goes out to you!
My Daughter Nikki passed away Dec. 10, 2003 she was 30..my heart still hurts so very much from missing her.
They say our children are in a much better palce but I am selfish and want my Daughter here with me....but I also did not want her to suffer..it's all so very hard.
My thoughts & prayers are with you and your precious Daughter Amy.
Hang in there..~Mary~
PS you have a very lovely blog :-}

(About my previous comment:) I am so very, very sorry for your loss. I will keep you tucked into my Good Night prayers. How incredibly insensitive of me for putting my excitement of finding a new blog-read, first. Please forgive me? It's not the foot I should have started out on. My deepest apologies to you for my unintentional disregard. I have truly blundered and I am sincerely sorry.

Dear Debbie,

You should never have another winter - but you know you probably will - and God will be with you then as he is now.

I am sure you know the Footprints poem - hopefully you know he is carrying you now.

Love your new hen.
