Cricket and Cat: Two precious Mermaids

LIVE   LARGE

I  have  been  blessed  by  two  newly

acquainted

ladies  that  I  am  proud  to  call

my  "Friends"

My  Mr.  Simply  had  brought

in  the  mail  the  other  day  and

there  was  a  padded  envelope

for  me

from

CRICKET

and

CAT

"TWO  LADIES  OF  THE  SEA!"

If  you  do  not  know  these  ladies

who  are  cousins,  please  stop  by

and  visit  them.

Cricket   wants  to  return  to  the

sea  as  a  mermaid  and  find  a

pirate  to  flirt  with.

She  has  tossed  her  message  in  a

bottle  to  aqua  blue  sea  and  hopes

her  pirate  will  find  it.

The  first  thing  I  pulled  out  of

the  envelope  was  a  mysterious

black  box  with  a  sheer  pink  ribbon

around  it.

Was  it  something  for  me

from  the  sea.....

oh  me...oh  my

you  will  have  to  wait  to  see

I  used  one  of  my  favorite

milk  glass  pedestal  dishes  because

the  ruffled  edges  reminded  me

of  girlie  girl  clam  that  would  be

in  a  mermaids'  cave...lol

I  have  always  loved  to  make  up

children's  stories  for  my  children

especially  when  we  traveled.

In  the  black  box  was  an

adorable  necklace  that  said,

"FUN"  on  one  side

and

"SUN"  on  the  other  side.

I  LOVE  IT  CRICKET.

Cricket  sent  me  a  beautiful  shell

and  a  white  piece  of  sea  glass.

I  was  over  joyed  because  it  was  the

very  first  piece  of  sea  glass  I  have

ever  held.

Cricket  sent  this  awesome  card.

I  don't  know  if  you  know  but  she

has  Lupus.

Lupus  is  an  ugly  disease  when  it

becomes  active.

We  had  a  lady  in  our  church,

the  piano  player,  that  went  to

heaven  one  year  after  being

  diagnosed.

Cat  said,  Cricket  is  non-  compliant.

Cricket

LIVES  LARGE.

Lupus  does  not  define  her  or  keep

her  in  a  box.

She  lives  life  on  her  terms...

a  nurse

a  single  mother

and  lives  to  scour  the  beaches

for  shells  and  sea  glass.

Next  to  Paris,  I  want  to  go  to

the  private  beach

Cricket  went  to

  that  was  loaded

with  shells...oh  how  I  wish  I  COULD

HAVE  BEEN  THERE  WITH  YOU

CRICKET.

THANK  YOU  FOR  BRINGING

A  PART  OF  THE  SEA  TO  ME.
************

Please  remember  Lori  and  Noelle

It  was  so  very  sad  to  me  when  she

said  her  blogger  family  is  all  she  has,

and  she  is  so  very  lonely.

This  is  a  very  tragic  time  for  her.

Please  just  take  a  minute  and  go  by  her

blog  and  let  her  know  you  are  thinking

of  her.

************

Blessed  are  the  poor  in  spirit,  for

theirs  is  the  kingdom  of  heaven

Blessed  are  the  meek,  for  they

shall  inherit  the  earth

Blessed  are  they  who  mourn,

for  they  shall  be  comforted

Blessed  are  they  who  hunger  and  thirst

for  justice,

for  they  shall  have  their  fill

Blessed  are  the  merciful,  for

they  shall  obtain  mercy

Blessed  are  the  clean  of  heart,

for  they  shall  see  God

Blessed  are  the  peacemakers

for  they  shall  be  called,

children  of  God.

Blessed  are  they  that  suffer

persecution,  for  justices'  sake,

for  theirs  is  the  kingdom  of  heaven,

~Matthew  5:  3- 10

The  Eight  Beatitudes

each  one  of  you.   May  your  day  be  full

of  blessings  and  ways  to  BLESS  others.

Love  to  each  one

I miss the beach, too. I miss Destin - of course, it's changed beyond recognition from the days I lived there. The beaches on Whidbey Island were very different and beautiful in their way, too.

The shell and sea glass and necklace are so pretty!

Love your new necklace Debbie! What a sweet surprise to find in the mail... And sea glass? I've never heard of it! That's something new to me, and I will have to look that up! The ocean sounds like a wonderful place to be.. I love walking down a beautiful shoreline.. But right now, I'd settle for temps in at least the 50s here at home! When, oh WHEN is Spring going to GET HERE, in the "Great Northeast"?!.. I'm sure the weather is far more pleasant where you are, right? You don't have ACs running yet, do you? Well, whatever the case.. Hope your day's a good one!

Dearest Debbie-
Thank you so much for your visit! I love it when you stop by!

Your gifts are gorgeous... and the sea stories are darling. What sweet gals they must be, just like you! I love that the seashell has a little hole in it. I have a little book called The Broken Seashell and delves into the fact that we are all broken like the shells that are battered and damaged as they travel from sea to shore. I've got to do a post on that one of these days!!

My son is doing quite good these days. Thank you so much for asking. They came to the conclusion that it was a magnified allergy to a specific mold that caused all the horrible repeated symptoms he was having. He was so ill Debbie. He had a specialist come into his home (very expensive but worth every penny) and there was this particular mold in his family room walls! My hubby helped tear the walls down and triple treat the entire room to kill all the mold spores. then they rebuilt the room. It took about a month and they had to move out while they worked on it. Russ had to wear a professional gas mask until the mold was killed. (it reminded me of the Old Testament when it talks about what to do with dwellings that contained mold. God certainly knew how serious it was and is.) From that time on he improved and now looks and feels like a normal person. Praise the Lord!!! I am so thankful Debbie. I count it a very special miracle that it was finally solved after 2 yrs of battle. The mold would have eventually destroyed him. But God is good and is our Victory! Thank you for all your prayers Debbie. You are an incredible prayer warrior and I love you dear friend!!

Much love to you and big hugs! Sherry
