WE WERE BLESSED WITH BEAUTIFUL WEATHER

On Friday evening  Mrs.  M  Prayed  for  a  "BEAUTIFUL"  day

to  lay  Leila  to  rest.   I  hated  the  pain  in  her  eyes  and  the

tears  in  mine  that  would  not  stop.

Leila  was  the  baby  of  the  family  and  Leila  saw  her  Mother

every  single  day  unless  she  was  in  the  hospital.

I   hurt  seeing  Korbi  sooo  very  lost  and  in  shock.

SATURDAY  WAS  A  BEAUTIFUL  DAY.

A  WARM  55  DEGREES  in  comparsion  to  0 - 17  degrees  it

has  been.

THE  WIND  ALWAYS  BLOWS  AT  THE  CEMETERY...

SATURDAY,  you  could  not  find  the  wind.

Leila  would  not  have  it  any  other  way.   She  ordered

the  day  to  be  perfect  because  she  loved  her  family  and

friends  very  much.

The  service  was  beautiful...very  emotional  as  beautiful

pictures  of  LEILA  and  AMY  came  across  the  screen  in  their

HAPPY  TIMES.  I  thought  I  would  choke  to  death  as  I

sobbed.

Pastor  Marney  spoke  so  eloquently  of  the  love  Leila  and

Korbi  had  for  each  other.   Always  respect  and  kindness  for

each  other  and  soooo  deeply  in  love.

He  said  that  most  people  don't  find  in  a  life  time  what

they  shared  in  their  years  together.

He  shared  how  very  brave  Leila  and  Amy  were  in  battling

cancer  and,  NOW,  Heaven  will  never  be  the  same  with  the

two  of  them  together  again.

Every  one  at  Leila's  funeral  was  at  Amy's  funeral...

they  were  known  as  TWINS,  sisters.

They  LIVED  LIFE  to  the  fullest.  despite  what  was  dealt  them.

Pastor  Marney  shared  how  Leila  barely  left  Amy's  side

as  cancer  was  raging  through  her  body  but  not  her  SOUL...and  I

have  to  think  Amy  was  beside  Leila  when  she  took  her

last  breath.

#####################################################################

As  I  set  with  my  own  BELOVED,  MR.  SIMPLY,  arms  around  me,  I

THOUGHT  HOW  VERY,  VERY  TRAGIC,

to  bury  your  mate.

The  road  was  closed  with  snow  drift.  They  had  to  plow

which  left  snow  drifts  up  to  10  feet  high.

Only  three  vehicles  entered  the  cemetery

You  cannot  tell  it  in  this  picture,  but  to  the  left  of  this

tent  wall  and  at  an  angle  from  the  pall  bearer's  car  is

our  beloveds'  burial  site...it  had  snow  over  knee  deep  on  Mr. Simply.

Leila  and  Amy  will  be  buried  one  path  away...

Amy's  feet  at  Leila's  head.  I  am  quite  sure  they  planned  it

that  way.

Mr.  Simply  was  a  pall  bearer,  standing  in  for  our

only  son,  Richie.

Leila  and  Korbi  love  Richie...He  was  the  little  brother  of

Amy  though  he  towered  over  her  by  at  least  a  foot...

(and  really  He  was  the  "BIG,  as  in  mature,"  brother  that  looked  over

Amy.)

Richie  and  Megan  wanted  to  be  there  but  work  is

very  demanding  and  there  is  a  lot  on  his  plate.

We  have  had  several  phone  calls  with  Richie,  keeping

him  informed  and  remembering  funny  times.   He  would

have  been  there  if  at  all  possible.

My  mother  drove  me  to  the  funeral  as  Richard  was

a  pall  bearer.  It  was  very  hard  for  us  as  it  is  still  raw

over  Amy  and  how  hard  they  both  worked  to  make

ends  meet.   They  never  whined  or  complained.

Mother  and  I  had  a  nice  visit.

At  the  luncheon  at  church  I  met  one  of  Leila's

friends  that  is  a  single  mother  and  her  son

has  battled  neuroblastoma  for  8  years.  He  is

almost  ten  years  old.......I  knew  the  look  in  her

eyes......Theresa  as  I  promised  I  will  pray  for

CHANCE  every  day.

We  talked  to  my  FIL  and  MIL,  as  they  know  Leila  and

were  so  sad  to  hear.   There  was  no  one  that  didn't  love

Amy  and  Leila.

You  can't  tell  by  this  picture  but  Leila's  casket  is  a

very  pale  pink  and  there  are  beautiful  pink  roses  on  the

oval  pieces  where  the  silver  handles  are  attached.   The

inside  was  a  beautiful  light  pink  with  a  darker  rose  on  the

lid.

Leila  loved...loved...loved...PINK...PINK...PINK

SHE  WAS  OUR  PINK  GAL.

THIS  IS  A  PICTURE  OF  THE  PINK  GALS.

HOW  YOU  SEE  AMY  AND  LEILA  IN  THIS  PICTURE

IS  HOW  THEY  BOTH  DRESSED....ALWAYS  IN  THE  SAME

COLORS  EVEN  THOUGH  THE  CLOTHING  MIGHT  BE

DIFFERENT.

AMY,  LIKE  HER  MOTHER,  LOVED  HATS  AND  LEILA

ALWAYS  WORE  ONE  OF  MY  SCARVES  TIED  AROUND  HER

PURSE....USUALLY  THEY  BOTH  HAD  A  RING  ON  EVERY

FINGER  AND  LOTS  OF  BRACELETS....THEY  LOVEDDDDDD  TO

SHOP...THEY  EVEN  SPENT  AT  LEAST  AN  HOUR  ON  THE

DOLLAR  AISLE  OF  ANY  GROCERY  STORE...THEY  HAD  THE

SAME  BLACKBERRY  WITH  THE  SAME  PICTURE  OF  THEM

WHEN  IT  WAS  TURNED  ON  OR  RECEIVING  A  CALL.

Amy  always  wore  a  red  rope  necklace  with  my  mustard  seed

on  it.   Amy  and  Leila  had  FAITH  bigger  than  a  mustard

seed.

KORBI,

WE  ARE  PRAYING  FOR  YOU.

GRIEF  IS  SUCH  A  LONELY  JOURNEY

AND  THERE  ARE  NO  SHORTCUTS....

BUT  YOU  WILL  MAKE  IT  THROUGH  WITH

FAMILY  AND  FRIENDS...AND  THE  LOVE  OF

JESUS  AND  HIS  MERCY  AND  GRACE.

REMEMBER  THE  BEAUTIFUL  LEILA,

WELL  AND  WHOLE,

LAUGHING  AND  HUGGING  YOU.

NOT  THE  PART  OF  LEILA

THAT  SUFFERED  SO.

MY  PRAYERS  TO  THE  WHOLE  FAMILY

ESPECIALLY  MOTHER  M.

MR.  SIMPLY  AND  I  LOVE  YOU  ALL  SO

VERY  MUCH.

Debbie, You and everyone who loved Leila is in my prayers. It was wonderful that you had a beautiful day, sunny skies with no wind at the cemetery. Your post is beautiful and told so much of the life that has gone on to Heaven. I know for you, it had to be like losing Amy all over again.
My heart breaks for you and Korbi, it's always harder on the ones left behind. I am so thankful that Leila's pain is over, but so very sorry that yours has begun.

I will say a prayer for all these people here and Korbi.
And you - how the memories about Amy must have come flooding into your heart. Bringing back all the pain.
This story is so sad.
I pray God holds you all in his hands and make you feel whole again.

Love,

Debbie, you have a wonderful gift of showing the positive even in the most painful and difficult of times. I am so glad the weather was so nice for Leila's burial. May all her friends and loved ones find peace in the knowledge that she is pain-free and re-united with her good friend, your lovely daughter, Amy. My thoughts are with all you listed and they are blessed to have you in their lives. Ann

Oh Miss D....I'm heartbroken that Leila has passed away and only rejoice because I know she is the arms of her Savior.

I'm too choked up to type. I really am. I promise I will visit again when I compose myself.

God be with you all...and bless you in a mighty way.

Love you~
