MR. SIMPLY AND HIS PINK CAMERA

THIS   PICTURE   IS  FOR   SUE

SUE,  THIS  IS  THE  ONLY  HEAD  VASE  I  OWN

SHE  IS  BEAUTIFUL  SHADES  OF  GREEN  WITH  SMALL

GOLD  TRIM.

PLEASE,  IF  YOU  LOVE  HEAD  VASES,  VISIT  THE

LOVELY  SUE

AT

SHE  HAS  A  BEAUTIFUL  COLLECTION.

MAY  I  INTRODUCE  YOU  TO  THE  LOVE  OF  MY

LIFE  FOR  40  YEARS.

HIS  BEARD  IS  A  LOT  SHORTER  NOW.

MR.  SIMPLY  WENT  AROUND  WITH  HIS  PINK

CAMERA  CAPTURING  THE  TIMES  AS  THE

SNOW  HAMMERED  US.

WE  RECEIVED

12  INCHES.

OUR  K MART  HAD  6  FOOT

SNOW  DRIFTS  AND  WAL  MART

WHO  CLOSES  FOR  NOTHING  HAD

8  SNOW  PLOWS  IN  THEIR  PARKING

LOT  CREATING  9  FOOT  SNOW  PILES

THAT  PROBABLY  WILL  NOT  MELT

UNTIL  APRIL.

KANSAS  ALSO  GOT  HAMMERED...

AS  WELL  AS  ARKANSAS.

WE  RECEIVED  THE  MOST  IN  OUR

STATE  ACCORDING  TO  THE

WEATHER  MAN  BUT  I  HEARD

OF  22  INCHES  IN  A  LITTLE  TOWN

25  MILES  FROM  US.  IT  WASN'T

VERIFIED  HOW  EVER.

LET'S  JUST  SAY   THERE  WERE  60

STATES  AFFECTED  FROM  SNOW

AND  ICE,  THAT  NORMALLY  DO

NOT  RECEIVE  SNOW  AND  ICE.

BEFORE  WE  GET  STARTED  WITH  MANY  PICTURES

OF  SNOW,  I  SAW  THIS  PICTURE  OF  MEGAN,  MY

BEAUTIFUL  DIL  AND  MY  HANDSOME,  ONLY

SON,  RICHIE.

THEY  WERE  HAMMERED  WITH  SNOW  ON

2/09/11.

THIS  POST  IS  ON  THURSDAY

2/10/11

MY  RICHIES'  BIRTHDAY  IS

IN  JUST  2  DAYS.

DADDY  AND  I  LOVE  YOU  SO

MUCH  RICHIE  AND  WE  ARE  SO

VERY  PROUD  OF  YOU.

SO  I  KNOW  THEY  ARE  NOT  INTERESTED  IN

PICTURES  OF  SNOW...THEY  LIVED  IT  LIKE  EVERY

ONE  ELSE...IT  IS  REALLY  MEGAN'S  FAULT.  SHE

GREW  UP  IN  MESA,  ARIZONA,  AND  WANTED  TO

SEE  SNOW.

BE  CAREFUL  WHAT  YOU  WISH  FOR  MEGAN...LOL

THIS  IS  THE  SNOW  BLOWING  IN  AT  11:22 PM  ON

2/08/11.

MR.  SIMPLY  TOOK  MANY  PICTURES  OF  OUR  ANGEL

THAT  STANDS  GUARD  FAITHFULLY  OVER  OUR

PURPLE  AND  WHITE  CLEMATIS.

I  LOVE  ANGELS  AND  HAVE  THEM  OUTSIDE  AS

WELL  AS  INSIDE.

HERE  IS  MISS  ANGEL  GETTING  HAMMERED

FROM  THE  SNOW.

THAT  IS  HOW  WE  SHOULD  BE  IN  DARK  TIMES...

"WE  SHALL  NOT  BE  MOVED  BY  OUR  CIRCUMSTANCES

AND  KEEP  OUR  EYES  ON  THE  LORD...AND  WHEN  WE

ARE  DOWN  TO  HAVE  PEOPLE  SPEAK  THE  WORD

OVER  US.

TETE  AT  THE  GARDEN  GATE  IS  ONE  OF  THESE

AWESOME  PEOPLE.

THIS  IS  OUR  OUTSIDE  TABLE  AS  THE  SNOW

COLLECTS

THIS  IS  OUR  KOI  FISH  POND.   THEY  ARE

MR.  SIMPLY'S  BABIES.  HE  HAS  FAITHFULLY

TAKEN  CARE  OF  THEM  FOR  5  YEARS.

THEY  HAVE  NAMES  AND  WHEN  THE  TEMP  IS

BELOW  40,  YOU  DON'T  FEED  THEM  DUE  TO

THEIR  VERY  SLOW  CIRCULATION

THE  SNOW  IS  PILING  UP....

IF  YOU  LOOK  CLOSE  THROUGH  THE  BLOWING

SNOW  MISS  ANGEL  HAS  SNOW  ALMOST  TO

HER  CHEST.

MR.  SIMPLY  SHOT  THIS  OUT  OUR  BEDROOM

WINDOW  AND  YOU  CAN  SEE  HOW  HIGH  THE  SNOW

IS  ON  OUR  OUTSIDE  TABLE...UNBELIEVABLE

YOU  CAN  NO  LONGER  SEE  MISS  ANGEL  AND

OUR  BIRD  FEEDER  IS  ALMOST  COVERED  UP.

NOW  LOOK  HOW  MUCH  SNOW  IS  ON

MR.  SIMPLY'S  FISH  POND.

THIS  IS  AN  OVERVIEW  OF  HOW  HIGH  THE  SNOW

CLIMBED  ON  THE  TABLE,  FISH  POND,  AND  VIEW

OF  THE  YARD.    IT  WAS  TAKEN  THROUGH  THE  STORM

DOOR  AS  THE  TEMP  WAS  7  DEGREES.

NO  LONGER  CAN  SEE  LITTLE  MISS  ANGEL.

YOU  CAN  SEE  THE  SNOW  HANGING  OFF  OUR

NEIGHBOR'S  HOUSE  ON  THE  EAST  OF  US.

THIS  IS  THE  ROOF  OF  THE  NEIGHBOR  TO  THE

WEST  OF  US.

THIS  IS  OUR  NEIGHBOR  ACROSS  THE  STREET.

MR.  SIMPLY  TOOK  IT  FROM  OUR  FRONT  PORCH.

AS  YOU  CAN  TELL  OUR  STREET  IS  A  MAIN  ROAD

AND  YOU  CANNOT  SEE  THE  CURBS  AND  NO  ONE

HAS  BEEN  DOWN  IT...BY  THIS  TIME  OF  THE  MORNING

IT  WOULD  BE  LIKE  GRAND  CENTRAL  STATION....AND  OUR

NEIGHBOR  HAS  A  DRIVEWAY  THAT  GOES  UP  HILL  AND

IT  LOOKS  FLAT  BY  THE  SNOW.

THIS  IS  OUR  CAR  IN  THE  DRIVE  WAY.  YOU

CAN  SEE  THE  SIDE  STREET  AND  THE  SNOW  IS

ALL  THE  WAY  UP  TO  HER  FENCE...NO  CURB

TO  BE  FOUND.  OUR  DRIVE  WAY  ALSO  HAS  AN

INCLINE  AND  IT  IS  UP  TO  THE  BACK  OF  OUR

CAR.

I  LOVE  THIS  PICTURE...THE  COLOR  OF  THE

SKY  IN  THE  BACKGROUND  AND  THE  SNOW

HANGING  OFF  THE  ROOF.

MORE  SNOW  HANGING  OFF  THE  ROOF.

THIS  IS  THE  PATH  MR.  SIMPLY  SHOVELED  FOR  OUR  DOGS.

THIS  OUR  DAUGHTER'S  CHIHUAHUA,  ROMEO  THAT  WE

ADOPTED  WHEN  SHE  WENT  HOME  TO  JESUS.

THIS  IS  A  PICTURE  OF  HOBO  AND  LITTLE

GREY.   THEY  ARE  LOOKING  OUT  THE  HOUSE

MR.  SIMPLY  MADE  FOR  THEM.   THEY  ARE

FERAL  CATS  BUT  THEY  STAY  IN  OUR  BACKYARD.

THEY  HAVE  A  LIGHT  IN  THEIR  HOUSE  AND  WE

KEEP  A  WORK  LIGHT  THAT  GETS  VERY  WARM

SETTING  ON  THE  STEP  OF  OUR  HOUSE  TO  KEEP

THEM  WARM  AND  THEIR  FOOD  DOESN'T  FREEZE.

WE  ALSO  FIX  WARM  FOOD  FOR  THEM  TWICE

A  DAY.

LITTLE  GREY  WON'T  COME  IN  THE  HOUSE  AND

HOBO  DOESN'T  HAVE  POTTY  MANNERS.

THIS  IS  A  CLOSEUP  OF  ROMEO.   HE  IS  SO  BLACK

HE  JUST  DOES  NOT  PHOTOGRAPH...HE  USUALLY

WEARS  CLOTHES  BUT  HE  DIDN'T  WANT  TO  WEAR

HIS  SWEATER  YESTERDAY.

AS  YOU  CAN  TELL,  THE  BACK  OF  ROOF'S  BEHIND

US  HAVE  VERY  LITTLE  SNOW...IT  IS  ALL  ON  THE

FRONT  OF  THEIR  HOUSE.

THIS  IS  ANOTHER  PICTURE  OF  THE  ROOF   AND

THE  BACK  OF  OUR  HOUSE.

THE  BACK  DOOR  LEADS  TO  OUR  SUN  ROOM...THIS

IS  GOING  TO  BECOME  MY  STUDIO...WE  USE  TO

JUST  SPEND  THE  NIGHT  OUT  THERE  TO  WATCH  TV

BUT  NOW  WE  SPEND  IT  IN  THE  OFFICE.

THE  STUDIO  WILL  REALLY  LOOK  NICE  BECAUSE

TWO  WALLS  ARE  BRICK.

THANK  YOU  MY  SWEET  HUBBY  FOR  JOINING  ME  ON

THIS  POST.   THANK  YOU  FOR  CAPTURING  OUR  SNOW

OVER  THE  TIME  PERIOD  THAT  IT  KEPT  BLOWING.

TODAY,  2/10/11

OUR  TEMP  IS

-19  DEGREES  (THAT  IS  NOT  NATURAL)

AND  WE  ARE  ONE  OF  THE  WARMER  PARTS

OF  THE  STATE.

WE  HAVE  NOT  SAW  TEMPERATURES  THIS  FRIGID

IN  A  FEW  YEARS.

Those snow pictures are something else. The ones with the angel statue and the blowing snow are gorgeous. Hope you all stay safe and warm.

That is just unbelievable! I'm glad you stayed warm.
Now since you've been snowed in, have you cranked up that sewing machine?

Oh, Debbie, did you ever get hammered! The one good thing about snow is that it has to melt sometime. We aren't as cold, just -2 last night for a low. My DH works out in it- I don't know how- every day.
This time next week the weatherman said we will be in the 50s here. Can the beginning of spring be only a week away? It's been a hard, weird winter
for everyone.
You are so sweet to mention me in your post.
Hugs- Tete

Hi Debbie!

Wow that is some snow!! We are used to it here in ski country, but I'm sure that is something you didn't expect. It is also warmer here 12 degrees above zero.

Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments they really made my day. I am trying to be more regular with my blogging. Sometimes I just get so busy with my family that weeks go by and I have written nothing:( I have figured out that if I get up and blog when my husband leaves for work at 5am I have a hour and a half of uninteruptted time before the kids get up. This is working for me for now. I hope that that will bring more people to my blog. Any other ideas will be appriciated.
Hope you come by again soon.

:) Michelle

wow - your snow looks worse than what we got last week! 12 inches here - I wanted to thank you for stopping by and your kind words about the passing of a great lady, mentor and artist! I truly appreciate it.

Oh my gosh, awesome snow pictures. We only got a dusting here in my part of Mississippi. I am so glad to see you taking care of the wild animals-they are God's creatures too.

These snow pictures are a good reminder to me how lucky we were in our area. Hope yours starts to melt but with the temps you are having that is not likely. Hope there has not been trouble with roofs caving in under the weight of the snow.

Debbie, my being on your list of reward recipents means a lot to me and made my day. I do hope you will understand that I no longer participate with these for a variety of reasons. One is that I have great trouble deciding to whom to pass it to. That is really a difficult thing for me to do.

I congratulate you, you more than deserve it.

I do pause and say a prayer for those on your list.

Your snow photos are amazing. We had very little compared to what you had. Of course, the wind blew all ours to Oklahoma, so that may account for such a small amount. I am totally impressed by the photos. They sure made the point.

Thank you so much for stopping by my OWOH post and leaving such wonderful comments. I am honored to have my button on your blog - thank you!

I am sorry your family suffered the loss of your daughter. Your blog is full of light and hope though - which is wonderful.
