THANKSGIVING 2011

HAPPY  BELATED  THANKSGIVING.

I    pray  you  were  blessed  with  family,  wonderful  food,  and

your  Faith  was  enriched.

Richard,  my  husband,  Richie,  our  handsome  son,  and  Megan,

our  pretty  daughter-in-love,  and  me  joined  Aunt  Jeanne  and

Dr.  Mike  and  their  family  for  a  beautiful  Thanksgiving.

By  the  end  of  the  evening  I  would  say  there  were  probably

30  people  off  and  on.

We  were  there  until  after  11:00  pm  playing  games  and  laughing.

Aunt  Jeanne  has  a  gorgeous  library  full  of  very,  very  old  books  and

wonderful  new  books.  Her  library  is  set  up  on  the  Dewey  decimal

system,  just  like  any  library.  (a  lot  of  work  for  the  thousands  of

books  she  has)

I   spent  a  lot  of  time  with  her  in  the  library.

An  awesome  family  who  welcomed  Richard  and  me  with  open

arms...a  christian  family...a  loving  family,  who  know  of

issues  that  are  too  painful  to  discuss.

They  live  way  far  in  the  deep  woods,  among  the  black  jack  trees

with  a  private  road  that  winds  and  turns  and  winds  again,

across  the  cow  patty  pasture  until  before  your  eyes  appears

a  beautiful  castle...a  simply  divine  home,  in  the  middle  of

no  where...seen  by  no  one  that  did  not  know  them.

A  kitchen,  Country  Living  magazine  would  want  to

  photograph  and

all  designed  by  Aunt  Jeanne  with  help  of  Dr.  Mike.

The  KITCHEN,  is  all  open,  to  floor  to  double  story  wall

of  windows  and  the  BIGGEST  u  shaped  island  I  have

ever  seen.

I  am  not  one  to  be  influenced  by  what  others'  have

and  neither  are  they.  They  are  down  to  earth,  wonderful

people.  What  I  was  impressed  with  was  the

FUNCTIONALITY  of  the  whole  house.

It  would  not  matter  if  we  had  been  in  a  shack,  it

would  have  been  the  best  THANKSGIVING,  because

I  found  acceptance...not  one  person  was  in  a  rush...

they  were  happy  to  be  with  us...and  I  know  Megan  comes

from  a  wonderful  family...they  are  much  like  the  Ragan's.

Aunt  Jeanne  and  Dr.  Mike,  thank  you  for  the  best

Thanksgiving  ever.

URGENT  PRAYER  PLEASE

My  Mother-in-love,  Irene,  is  in  critical

condition  in  ICU.   She  was  taken  to  the

hospital  by  ambulance,  on  Thanksgiving

Day.  AJ,  my  father-in-love  knew  where  we  were

going  on  Thanksgiving  day  and   waited  to  call

us  until  Friday  morning  at  0900...(at  least  we  did

not  read  about  it  on  a  blog)...

She  was  taken  to  surgery  and  has  been  in

ICU  ever  since.

Today  she  was  delirious  with  severe  pain  and

kept  yelling  for  her  daughters.

AJ   cannot  be  left  alone  at  home  related  to

his  health  but  Nancy  his  daughter  has  gotten

him  to  the  hospital  twice  per  w/c  and  portable

oxygen.

This  is  very  hard  on  him  because  he  cannot

visit  her  more...they  have  been  married  60  plus

years  and  it  is  very  hard  to  watch  some-

one  you  love  suffer.

THANK  YOU  FOR  YOUR  PRAYERS.

HUGS

Saying a prayer right now for your mother-in-law! I am so sorry to hear about that-and it is always worse when it is the Holidays, isn't it?

Aunt Jeanne's house sounds fabulous. I know it must be a treat to visit there and enjoy their company. The drive there sounds like a magical one.

I'm sure your miss your Amy even more on family holidays. I thought of you on Thanksgiving and knew that you were probably feeling a moment of sadness admist the joy~

I hope you have a blessed Sunday~Love to you- Diana

What a beautiful Thanksgiving story. I cannot get used to Simply Debbie being back on. I am so glad. I will pray for your in-laws that she will regain her health soon.

Hi Debbie.
Sounds like you had a very nice Thanksgiving....At least until you heard the news of your MIL. I will be praying for her and her dear husband. I know it has to be impossibly hard to watch your spouse of 60 yrs suffer, and to not be able to stay there with her. Vanna

My prayers are with your MIL and family too. It would be heartbreaking for her family to see her in pain. My thoughts are with you.
