HURDLE ON...WITH JOY

HURDLES...

We  are  all  faced  with  them  in  this  Race  of  Life

we  run.

Sometimes  we  just  sail  right  over  the

HURDLES

that  stand  in  our  way....attempting  to  slow

and  discourage.

Look  at  the

determination

on  the  face  of  Jones.

Then  other  times  we  are  like

Gail  Devers

at  the  Athens,  Olympics.

(I  am  quite  sure  she  wishes  this  picture

would  go  away.)

HURDLES

are  sometimes  very  difficult  to  get  over

or  even  under.

They  are  painful...stinging  to  the  very

core  of  our  being.

LoLo  Jones,  US Champ 2010,  when  asked

during  an  interview,

"What  do  you  do  to  prepare  for  the  race,

in  addition  to  sprints,  stretches,  etc...."

She  replied,

"Whether  it  be  a  quote  or  a  bible  verse,

I  ALWAYS  TELL  MYSELF  SOMETHING

POSITIVE!"

WHATEVER  HURDLE  YOU  ARE  FACING

TODAY,  MY  FRIEND,

YOU  CAN  GET  OVER  IT

WITH

SELF-DETERMINATION...

A  POSITIVE  ATTITUDE...

WONDERFUL  FRIENDS...

PRAYING  FRIENDS...

AND

MOST  OF  ALL

GOD

WHO  LOVES  YOU.

HE  HAS  PLACED  TREASURES

WITHIN  EACH  ONE  OF  US.

YOU  CAN  DO  IT...

HURDLE  ON...

WITH  JOY

THE  JOY  OF  THE  LORD

IS  OUR  STRENGTH!!!

There is such truth in this post, Debbie! I love it and it is sooo true. I keep in my mind the saying that "Always be kind because you never know what other difficulties (hurdles) another is facing" xxooDiana

Hi there Debbi!
I just love this post ~ so, so true and a great reminder. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" is one of my best sources of inspiration.

Amen, Debbie! What a wonderful post this is. Just what I needed to hear, too. God is awesome, and He will see us through. :-)

Hope you are well and that all is well in your world. Sending you warm hugs across the miles. My blogging has been spotty lately, but you are always close in heart.

Love to you, my friend...

XO,

Sheila :-)

GREAT POST DEBBIE, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN YOUR LIFE FROM ONE MOMENT TO THE NEXT. SO IT IS GOOD TO BE READY AT ALL TIMES, BY BEING YOURSELF, AND BEING THERE FOR SOMEONE IN NEED. RIZZI

Sometimes when those we love are facing hurdles, our response is everything is going to be okay. We say this because our hope is that everything is going to be okay even though we have no guarantees. This past year since my son's suicide I have found it better to say,"I will be with you no matter how life turns out." This is more comforting because it is God's promise. He walks beside us through all struggles just as we link arms with our friends to walk through life.

Hi Debbie,

Your post is so neat...I needed it too. I am so blessed that you came into my life. This electronic world is really something else. Thanks a million for visiting my blogspot! You've inspired me to visit some of the Bloggerette Sorority sisters also. If your visit lifted MY spirits maybe I can do the same for someone else.
I continue to heal from losing a daughter too...it's SO HARD but we are defininately not alone, God is our strength and joy. One of the most valuable things I've learned that helps me'go through' is that Our Lord sorrows with us. He loves us so much. I just don't know how long I'll be going through....I'm so sad. I know...trust in the Lord.

I look forward to my next visit to your awesome blogspot. You're the sweetest.

Be blessed!
