XOXOXOXO...AMY...XOXOXOXO
ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS AND MIND
AS MOST OF YOU KNOW MY FAMILY ARE
ANIMAL LOVERS. WE LOVE CATS, HAVING 3 CATS
OF OUR OWN THAT LIVE INSIDE. WE HAVE 2
SPECIAL CATS WE HAVE ADOPTED THAT LIVE OUTSIDE...
HOBO AND MISS GREY. THEY ARE NOT CITIFIED AND
HAVE NOT BEEN TO ETIQUETTE SCHOOL, SO THEY LIVE
OUTSIDE. MY MR. SIMPLY BUILT THEM A CAT HOUSE
TO GO NIGHT...NIGHT IN. THEY WILL SHARE THEIR FOOD
WITH OTHER GANG MEMBERS SUCH AS GRANDDADDY,
BAD EYES, AUTUMN, FLUFFY AUTUMN, THE MEAN ONE,
STUBBS, LITTLE STUBBS, AND WELL...YOU GET THE IDEA.
BUT THEY WON'T SHARE THEIR HOUSE.
THE OTHER DAY WE LOOKED OUT INTO THE BACKYARD
AND SAW WHAT LOOKED LIKE 2 LITTLE YELLOW SQUASH
LAYING ON TOP OF ONE ANOTHER.
UPON INVESTIGATION IT WAS 2 LITTLE KITTENS
THAT RAN LIKE A STREAK OF LIGHTENING WHEN
WE APPROACHED THEM.
LATER WE LOOKED OUT ON THIS DRIZZLY DAY
AND THEY WERE LAYING IN THE YARD SHIVERING,
LOOKING AT THE BACK PORCH WHERE THE DRY CAT
FOOD WAS IN A BOWL.
THEY WERE SO INTENT ON WAITING FOR THE RIGHT
MOMENT TO GRAB SOME FOOD, THEY FAILED TO NOTICE
AT LESS THAN 25 FEET AWAY, MY HUSBAND HAD MADE
THE TWO KITTIES A HOUSE, WHERE THEY COULD CUDDLE
AND BE WARM AND TOASTY AND IT HAD A FOOD DISH,
WHERE THEIR BELLIES WOULD BE FULL.
THE LORD MINISTERED TO ME THROUGH THESE 2
PRECIOUS CATS. HOW MANY TIMES DO WE FIXATE ON
WHAT THE PROBLEM IS...SICKNESS, UNPAID BILLS,
NEED RENT, TUITION, A TOOTH FIXED....ALL THESE THINGS
THAT SO MANY OF US FIND SO VERY DIFFICULT TO DEAL
WITH BECAUSE OF UNEMPLOYMENT AND NO MONEY.
IT WAS SUCH AN EYE OPENER TO ME TO SEE THESE
KITTIES, KEEP THEIR EYE ON THE PROBLEM WHEN
EVERYTHING THEY NEEDED WAS LESS THAN 25 FEET AWAY.
IT MADE ME WONDER HOW MANY BLESSINGS I ACTUALLY
TRIPPED ON AND WALKED ON COMPLAINING BECAUSE I
NEEDED A MIRACLE.
FAITH IS ACTION. IT PLEASES GOD WHEN WE TRUST
HIM AND LOOK TO HIM AND THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR
GUIDANCE.
HIS HOLY WORD SAYS:
MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL, ALL, MY NEEDS ACCORDING
TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY.
FAITH IS NOT
BELIEVING THAT
GOD CAN-----
IT IS IN KNOWING
THAT HE WILL!!!!!!!!

What a beautiful post, Debbie. And so very true.

Debbie, that is such a wonderful story! And it is SO true. It reminds me of a Christmas story my uncle used to read to us each year about birds and a barn. They refused to go into the warm barn, and the farmer thought they would freeze, thinking at last, "If only I were a bird and could tell them and save them!" Of course, the reference was to Christ becoming a man to save us.
Hope that all is well in your world and that you will be having a Happy Thanksgiving next week...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Prayers for all those in need.
Debbie, your kitty story has so touched my heart, you are right in everything you said. Sometimes we just need to stand back and take notice....Char
Thank you for the prayer list. It helps all of us to stop a moment and offer each person up in prayer.
Your husband is a sweetie - give him an extra hug for helping out the little kitties. We have three cats also - all rescued by my daughter.
Debbie, I needed to read this tonight, I can't tell you how much your thoughts have blessed me. How many times have I missed that blessing when it was just a few feet away, because I was so focused on the problems that I didn't notice.
And what a softie your dh is for fixing them the house.
Thank you for the uplift.
Hugs,
Sue
What a beautiful post Debbie - you remember everyone. I'm glad you got some gifts! sandie
Well put sister! Yes, how often we miss out focused on the problem instead of the Maker. Awwww, I adore kittens! :o)

Dear Debbie, Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving such a wonderful message. I do love nursing, but the hospital scene just is not for me anymore!!! I am thinking of working casually in a small nursing home in the country. Slower pace and quiet surroundings.
My answer was 25 feet away!!!
Take care my new firend. I love your blog.
God Bless and warm hugs, Laura
