STAY STRONG AND ALWAYS REMEMBER WHAT A SPECIAL PERSON YOU ARE

XOXOXOXO...AMY...XOXOXOXO
ALWAYS  IN  OUR  HEARTS

AMY  DAWN,  OUR  BELOVED  ONLY  DAUGHTER,

BROUGHT  SUCH  COLOR  INTO  OUR  LIFE.  OUR

ONLY  AND  BELOVED  SON,  RICHIE,  BRINGS

SUCH  LAUGHTER  INTO  OUR  LIVES.   WHEN  HE

WAS  LITTLE  AND  CAME  HOME  FROM  SCHOOL

IT  WAS  LIKE  A  HURRICANE  BLEW  IN.   HE  WAS

FULL  OF  QUESTIONS  AND  VERY  TALKATIVE.  AMY  WAS

ALWAYS  VERY  QUIET  AND  SHE  WOULD  GO  TO  HER

BEDROOM  AND  LINE  UP  HER  DOLLS  AND  INSTRUCT

THEM  JUST  AS  HER  TEACHER  TAUGHT  HER  CLASS

THAT  DAY.   THIS

IS  HOW  I  FOUND  OUT  WHAT  KIND  OF  DAY  SHE  HAD.

AMY  NEVER  HAD  A  BAD  TEACHER  BUT  RICHIE  HAD

THE  TEACHER  FROM  HELL  IN  4TH  GRADE.  WHEN

14  BOYS  OUT  OF  A  CLASS  OF  24,  ALL  HAVE  THE

SAME  PROBLEM,  YOU  HAVE  TO  INVESTIGATE.

I  WAS  THE  PTA  TREASURER  THAT  YEAR  AND  SPENT

A  LOT  OF  TIME  AT  HIS  SCHOOL.  BOY  WERE  "WE",

PTA  MOTHERS  FOOLED  BY  THIS  TEACHER.  SHE  DID

NOT  LIKE  BOYS  OR  NOISE  OF  ANY  KIND  AND  SHE

WOULD  SAY  THEY  DIDN'T  TURN  THEIR  HOMEWORK  IN.

WE  STARTED  MAKING  COPIES  OF  THEIR  WORK  AND

WHEN  SHE  STILL  INSISTED  THEY  DID  NOT  TURN  IN

THEIR  HOMEWORK,  WE  GAVE  THEIR  HOMEWORK  TO

THE  PRINCIPAL  AND  HE  GAVE  THE  HOMEWORK  TO

THE  TEACHER  FOR  14  LITTLE  BOYS  WHO  WERE

SUDDENLY  DEVELOPING  ALL  KINDS  OF  REASONS  TO

NOT  GO  TO  SCHOOL.  I  HAVE  ALWAYS  BEEN  ON  THE

SIDE  OF  THE  TEACHER  TO  PROMOTE  A  HEALTHY

AND  FUN  LEARNING  ENVIRONMENT  FOR  BOTH  OF

MY  CHILDREN....BUT  THIS  TEACHER  NEEDED  TO

BE  FIRED  WITH  A  CAPITAL  F.   SHE  HAD  TENURE.

I  GOT  OFF  ON  THAT  RABBIT  TRAIL  TO  SAY  SINCE

AMY  GRADUATED  TO  HEAVEN,  THE  COLOR  HAS  LEFT

MY  AND  MR.  SIMPLY'S  WORLD.  THEN  OUR  SON  WAS

RELOCATED  IN  HIS  JOB  AND  THE  LAUGHTER  LEFT.

BUT  I  HAVE  GREAT  NEWS.   HE  HAS  BEEN

TRANSFERRED  AGAIN....CONGRATULATIONS  RICHIE....

WE  ARE  SO  VERY  PROUD  OF  YOU.  HE  IS  NOW  THE

MANAGER  OF  HIS  OWN  BROWNS'  SHOE  STORE  IN

McPHERSON,  KANSAS.   WE  HAVE  DECIDED  TO  MOVE

THERE  SO  WE  CAN  BE  CLOSE  TO  MEGAN  AND  RICHIE.

IT  IS  TIME  FOR  A  CHANGE.  I  HAVE  BEEN  PACKING

AND  WE  ARE  GOING  TO  HAVE  A  BIG  SALE.

I  ASK  THAT  YOU  PRAY  OUR  HOUSE  WILL  SELL

AND  WE  WILL  FIND  A  NICE  CONDO  IN  McPHERSON.

THIS  IS  A  DIFFICULT  TIME  FOR  US.  IT  IS

APPROACHING  THE  FIRST  ANNIVERSARY  OF  AMY'S

GRADUATION  TO  HEAVEN.

BLESS  YOU  CINDY  ADKINS  FOR  BEING  THE  ANGEL

YOU  ARE.  I  WILL  ALWAYS  HAVE  A  PIECE  OF  AMY

WITH  ME  AND  YOU  HAVE  A  SPECIAL  PLACE  IN  MY

HEART.

IT  HAS  BEEN  SO  DIFFICULT  FOR  ME  TO  POST  ANY-

THING.  I  PRAY  YOU  UNDERSTAND  THAT  AND  DON'T

DESERT  ME.  I  DO  WISH  YOU  WOULD

GIVE  ME  A  CHANCE  TO  GET  THROUGH

OCTOBER  23,  2010,  THE  ANNIVERSARY  OF  MY  DAUGHTERS'

GRADUATION  TO  HEAVEN.   IT  HAS  BEEN  THE  MOST

DIFFICULT  YEAR  OF  OUR  LIVES  FOR  RICHIE,  RICHARD,

AND  ME.  PLEASE  PRAY  FOR  US.

I  SEND  YOU  THIS  POST  WITH  A  SMILE  AND

A  HUG.   YOUR  WINGS  MAY  BE  A  LITTLE  DAMAGED

NOW,  BUT  YOU  CAN  STILL  FLY.  YOU  CAN  STILL

TOUCH  THE  SKY.  YOU  CAN  STILL  MAKE  A  RAINBOW.

YOU'RE  HURT,  BUT  YOU  CAN  STILL  DREAM.  YOU

CAN  STILL  TRY.  THROUGH  ALL  OF  THIS,  NEVER

FORGET  WHAT  A  SPECIAL  PERSON  YOU  ARE.

AS  YOU  DODGE  THESE  CURVE  BALLS  THAT  ARE

COMING  AT  YOU  NOW,  DON'T  LET  ANYONE  TAKE

AWAY  YOUR  HOPE,  GET  YOU  DOWN,  OR  MAKE  YOU

GIVE  UP.  WHILE  YOU  FACE  THESE  PROBLEMS

THAT  TOUCH  THE  LAND  MINES  IN  YOUR  SOUL,

DON'T  LET  THEM  STEAL  YOUR  POWER.

STAY  STRONG,  ENCOURAGED,  AND  HOPEFUL.

KNOW  THAT  YOU  ARE  SPECIAL  AND  YOU  ARE

LOVED.

REFRESH  YOUR  SPIRIT  WITH  THE  LESSONS

YOU'VE  LEARNED.   THIS  IS  JUST  A  PASSAGE

YOU'RE  GOING  THROUH.  YOU  KNOW  YOUR

HEART.  YOU  KNOW  WHO  YOU  ARE.  THERE

WILL  BE  ANSWERS.   JUST  BE  PATIENT.  BE

SATISFIED  WITH  DOING  THE  BEST  YOU  CAN.

WHEN  YOU'RE  DOWN,  DON'T  STAY  THERE.

AND  NEVER,  NEVER  FORGET  WHAT  A

SPECIAL  PERSON  YOU  ARE.

~DONNA  FARGO

I  THOUGHT  THAT  WAS  A  BEAUTIFUL

WORD  FOR  TODAY  FOR  EVERYBODY.

THANK  YOU  TO  THE  VERY  SPECIAL

FRIENDS  WHO  HAVE  STUCK  WITH  ME  THROUGH

ALL  THE  SADNESS  AND  THE  JOYFUL  MEMORIES.

I  SHALL  NEVER,  EVER  FORGET  YOU.  THAT  IS

A  FRIEND...ONE  WHO  IS  BESIDE  US  COLLECTING

THE  TEARS,  LAUGHING  WITH  US,  LISTENING  TO  US,

AND  WORSHIPPING  THE  LORD  WITH  US.  YOU  ARE

AMAZING  FRIENDS.

AND  KEEP  YOU  UNTIL  WE  BLOG  AGAIN.

PLEASE  REMEMBER  THE  FOLLOWING

PEOPLE  IN  PRAYER....

FRED  IS  HAVING  SURGERY,

ROY  AND  ELISABETH

SHAUNA,

BONNIE,

LEILA  AND  KORBI,

AND  ALL  THOSE  WHO  ARE

LOST  WITHOUT  JESUS.

HAVE A BEAUTIFUL  DAY.

HUGS  AND  LOVE

Debbie, I hope your house sells quickly! How exciting to be close to your son again.
The one year anniversary was so hard for me ... just a few weeks ago. We released 2 balloons at the cemetery. There are no words to comfort you ... it's just hard. But I do know we will see our girls again healthy and whole again one day. I feel your pain.
Big Hugs,

I had a similar situation with my daughters 3rd grade teacher. I was a volunteer at the school and was aware of some of this teachers tactics. When my daughter did not want to go to school. I went to the teacher and asked her if she wanted to be tough that was ok but to show the children where her heart was and why she was trying to be tough because she wanted them to be good students. She listened (thankfully) and by the end of the school year she was my daughters favorite teacher. Not every one listens and I was lucky this teacher did. Teachers some times don't realize their words can destroy a child's self esteem and spirit. I am glad in your situation you took control of a really bad situation.
Good luck on your move, how exciting that will be. New places to explore and friends to be made. Happy for your son's promotion, I know you are proud.

This is BIG news, that you will move to be near your son and his family. I pray your house sells quickly and that your heart continues to heal. You wrote here "you can still touch the sky" and I agree. Bless you on your life journey and for sharing here.

Oh Sweetie...

Today my heart is with you. No matter the things I face in my life nothing will ever come close to what you've gone through. Surely you have many more jewels in your crown than the rest of us...

I know this is going to sound strange to you but I think of Amy all the time and still so happy I had the pleasure of meeting her in person. I know the anniversary of her home-going is coming up and so maybe that is why I've been thinking of all of you even more.

I can only imagine how you feel with Richie moving away. I am happy for you about your move but sooo sad for me that you won't be in Oklahoma any longer. I was so hoping at some point we could meet up for lunch or we could have you and Mr. SimplyDebbie come for dinner. :( Maybe someday...

Still...I know you must follow your heart and enjoy the son you love so much. I'll be praying for you and for everything to go smoothly as you work to sell your home.

Love to you, Debbie~

Dehbie, I am happy to hear of this change. I will be with you all the way. You needed this change, a positive change and one of your very own making after a sea of hurt and changes that were so painful and came at you like a swamping wave. I hope that your house will sell quickly in this economy, it's such a pretty house that I think it will.

My prayers are with you, and I know this is an emotional time. Do take comfort in knowing that Amy is fine now, and that she will never know anymore discomfort. Amy would want you to be happy and find more color in your life - not replacement but additional.

I do hope your house sells quickly and that you have an easy move.

Hi Debbie
*tight hugs*..........
I can only imagine how this past year has been for you....it is going to be difficult to approach this first year. Perhaps you could celebrate her wonderful life and the beauty of your daughter on that day. Perhaps that could help you with extra special rememberances of all beautiful memories for that date. I'm just thinking about how to help you....

I hope you can continue to be as strong as you can....

That is good news about living close to your son. I hope your home does sell quickly and you can make the move soon.

Isn't that something about the teacher your son had? I wonder what ever happened to her.

I hope you have had a nice day Debbie...*hugs*....see all the sunlight and happiness that does surround you tomorrow...
