MY SEPTEMBER ATC CARD AND A BLESSING FROM CINDY

XOXOXOXOXOXOXO...AMY...XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
ALWAYS  IN  OUR  HEART

ELISABETH,  I  LOVE  YOU  MY  DEAR  FRIEND.

I  HAVE BEEN  ILL  AND  AWAY  FROM  THE  COMPUTER

FOR  ALMOST  2  WEEKS.   JUST  TODAY  I  LEARNED  OF

ROY'S  PASSING  UNTO  HIS  SAVIOUR'S  ARMS..   HE  PUT  UP  A

REMARKABLE  FIGHT  AND  HE  EARNED  HIS  CROWN.

I  WOULD  LIKE  FOR  EVERYONE  TO  GO  TO  YOUR  BLOG

AND  READ  ABOUT  THE  "DRAGON-FLY."   YOU  WILL  BE

SO  VERY  BLESSED.   I  WILL  BE  E-MAILING  YOU  MY

FRIEND.  I  AM  SO  VERY  SORRY  BUT  ELATED  HE  SENT

YOU  A  BLUE

TAIL  DRAGON-FLY.  YOU  WERE/ARE  A

WONDERFUL  WIFE  AND  HE  LOVED  YOU  AND  THE

KIDS  AND  YOUR  PRECIOUS  GRANDCHILD

  SO  VERY  MUCH.

AS  YOU  KNOW  I  BELONG  TO  THE

BLISSFULL  ATC  SWAP.  IT  WAS  CREATED  BY

OUR  LOVELY  HOSTESSES  WENDY  AND  DEBBIE.

YOU  MAY  CLICK  ON  THE  BUTTON  ABOVE  ON  MY

RIGHT  SIDE  BAR.

THEY  AS  WELL  AS  ALL  OF  US  WOULD  LOVE

FOR  NEW  PEOPLE  TO  JOIN  US.  IT  IS  A  LOT

OF  FUN  AND  CAN  BE  ADDICTING...I HAVE  MY  CARDS

MADE  THROUGH  FEBRUARY  AND  SO  DOES  MY

AWESOME  FRIEND  DeeDee.  LOVE  YOU  GIRL.

EACH  MONTH  THERE  IS  A  NEW  THEME.

SEPTEMBER'S  THEME  WAS:

"LEAVES."

MY  SWAP  PARTNER  WAS  POLLY.   I  WENT  TO

HER  BLOG  TO  SEE  WHAT  SHE  LIKED  AND

LAVENDER/PURPLE  WERE  HER  FAVORITE  COLORS

BUT  SHE  ALSO  LIKES  ALL  PASTEL  COLORS.

POLLY  HAD  A  VERY  SAD/ANGRY/HORRIFYING...ANY

WORD  YOU  CAN  THINK  OF  INCIDENT

  HAPPEN  TO  HER.....HER

PURSE  WITH  ALL  HER  MONEY  TO  PAY  THE  BILLS

FOR  SEPTEMBER  AND  ALL  HER  IDENTITY  WAS

STOLEN  OUT  OF  HER  CART.  PLEASE  PRAY

GOD  WILL  DO  A  BIG  MIRACLE  FOR  HER.

THAT IS A BIG  REMINDER  TO  ALL  OF  US,  WITH

THE  HOLIDAYS  APPROACHING  TO  TAKE  PRE-

CAUTION  WITH  OUR  PURSES.

IT  IS  THE  SEASON  OF  GIVING  BUT  IT  IS  ALSO

THE  SEASON  OF  STEALING....ALL  THE  BAD

COMES  OUT  WITH  THE  GOOD.

THIS  IS  MY  ATC  FOR  POLLY.

I  USED  AN  OLD  GREETING  CARD  FOR  LAVENDER

HYDRANGEA  LEAVES...LAVENDER  SCRAPBOOK

PAPER  TO  COVER  THE  PLAYING  CARD...

2  CANCELLED  STAMPS  THAT  WERE  PURPLE

WITH  GREEN  LEAVES,  GLITTER  GEL...GLUE

STICK...PIECE  OF  PEARL  LACE  SHAPED  LIKE

A  LEAF...A  PUFFED  FELT  HEART  AND  ORGANZA

RIBBON...TYPED  GREEN  LETTERS  SPELLING

LEAVES...AND  A  PURPLE  STICKER  ON  THE  BACK

THAT  SAID  FRIENDSHIP.   EVERY  ATC  I  MAKE  IS

ONE  OF  A  KIND....OFTEN  I  CUT  APART  MY

VINTAGE  CARDS  AND  SO  I  DO  NOT  MAKE  ONE

TO  KEEP  FOR  MYSELF.

HAVE  YOU  ALL  MET  THE  TALENTED  CINDY

ADKINS?   YOU  CAN  ARRIVE  AT  HER  BLOGS  BY

CLICKING  ON  THE  BUTTONS  ON  MY  SIDE  BAR.

IF  YOU  HAVE  NOT  MET  HER,  PLEASE  STOP

BY  AND  VISIT  HER  BLOGS.  YOU  WILL  BE

  SO  BLESSED.

SHE  IS  A  BEAUTIFUL  PERSON  INSIDE  AND  OUT

AND  AN  AWESOME  CHRISTIAN.   SHE  HAS  HAD

HER  OWN  CHALLENGES  RECENTLY  AND  WOULD

NOT  SUCCUMB  TO  THE  PLANS  OF  THE  DEVIL.

WE  CAN  (AND  WILL)  DO  ALL  THINGS  THROUGH

CHRIST  WHOM  STRENGTHENS  US.   PLEASE

REMEMBER  HER  IN  PRAYER.

SHE  SENT  ME  THE  MOST  GLORIOUS  PACKAGE.

EVERYTHING  WAS  CAREFULLY  CONTAINED  IN  A

SEWN  BURLAP  BAG  WITH  A  GORGEOUS

NECKLACE  WHICH  MR.  SIMPLY  IS  WEARING

WITH  GREAT  PRIDE  AND  THE  BIBLE  TAG

IS  AWESOME.  I  HAVE  IT  IN  THE  BOOK  I  AM

READING  BY  MICHIELLE  SULLIVAN..."WHY  MY

CHILD  LORD?"  SHE  ALSO  INCLUDED  SOME

TICKETS  WHICH  TICKLED  ME  PINK...LOL

CINDY,  I  JUST  LOVE  AND  ADORE  YOU  AND  YOUR

PRECIOUS  SPIRIT.  YOU  COULD  NOT  HAVE  GIVEN

ME  A  MORE  PERFECT  GIFT.   GOD  IS  GOOD...ISN'T

HE.  IT  IS  EXCITING  TO  SEE  WHAT  HE  IS  GOING

TO  DO  NEXT.

THIS  IS  A  PRECIOUS  LADY  IN  MY  LIFE.

THIS  IS  MY  MOTHER-IN-LOVE  OR  ALSO

KNOWN  AS  MOTHER-IN-LAW.

ON  SEPTEMBER  6,  2010  SHE  TURNED

90  YEARS  OLD.

I  TOLD  HER  SHE  WAS  GOING  TO  LIVE

FOREVER.  WE  DID  NOT  GET  TO  GO  TO

HER  BIRTHDAY  CELEBRATION  AS  HER  BABY

BOY,  MR.  SIMPLY  WAS  SICK.  ONE  OF  US  HAS

BEEN  SICK  OFF  AND  ON  FOR  A  MONTH.

SOME  OF  YOU  KNOW  BUT  SHE  HAS  BEEN

THROUGH  A  LOT  SINCE  SHE  TURNED  78

YEARS  OLD.....

CANCER  OF  THE  BREAST  WITH  A  MASTECTOMY,

LUNG  CANCER(NEVER  SMOKED  A  DAY  IN  HER  LIFE),

FELL  AND  BROKE  HER  SHOULDER  JOINT  OFF  THE  BONE

AND  WAITED  UNTIL  0300  TO  TELL  AJ,  MY  FATHER-IN-

LOVE  THAT  SHE  NEEDED  TO  GO  TO  THE  HOSPITAL...

YOU  CAN  IMAGINE  HIS  SHOCK  AND  IT  TELLS  OF  HER

PAIN  TOLERANCE...HER  OLDEST  SON  AND  MR.  SIMPLY'S

BROTHER  GRADUATED  TO  HEAVEN  AFTER  A  VALIANT

BATTLE  WITH  LIVER  CANCER.  SHE  TAUGHT  KINDER-

GARTEN  FOR  YEARS  AND  IT  BRINGS  HER  MUCH

JOY  WHEN  SHE  SEES  HER  LITTLE  STUDENTS

  ALL  GROWN  UP.

SHE  IS  AN  AWESOME  GRANDMOTHER  AND  GREAT

GRANDMOTHER....AND  SO  IS  AJ...AN  AWESOME  PAPA.

I  MIGHT  ADD  RICHIE  IS  THEIR  ONLY  GRANDSON

BUT  THEIR  GRANDDAUGHTER  LAURA  GAVE  THEM

A  GREAT  GRANDSON.   AMY  WAS  THEIR  FIRST

GRANDCHILD  AND  I  HAVE  SO  MANY  WONDERFUL

MEMORIES  OF  THE  THREE  OF  THEM  TOGETHER.

WHEN  SHE  WAS  FIRST  BORN,  IRENE  SENT  HER

A  BIRTHDAY  CARD  EVERY  WEEK.  AMY  LOVED

HER  AND  PAPA  SO  VERY  MUCH.  WHAT  A

JOYOUS  REUNION  IT  WILL  BE  ONE  DAY.

HAPPY  90TH  BIRTHDAY  IRENE  AND  NOW  YOU  CAN

HAVE  A  PEP  IN  YOUR  STEP!!!!!  STAY  OFF  THE

SKATEBOARD  THOUGH,  BECAUSE  YOUR  BONES

ARE  BRITTLE....LOL  SHE  WON'T   EVEN  SEE  THIS,

I  JUST  WANTED  YOU  TO  KNOW  ABOUT  HER.

THIS  IS  AN  AWESOME  TREE.  I  FOUND  THE  IMAGE

ON  GOOGLE.  WHEN  I  SAW  IT,  IT  MADE  THINK  OF  THE

SCRIPTURE  THAT  SAYS....."DANCE  LIKE  DAVID  DID  BEFORE

THE  LORD."

AND  KEEP  YOU  UNTIL  WE  BLOG  AGAIN.

YOU  ARE  AWESOME.

HOPE

IS  WHAT  EVERYONE  NEEDS  NOW...

THAT  AND  A  FEW  GOLD  BARS  TO  SELL...LOL

"NOW  THE  GOD  OF  HOPE  FILL  YOU

WITH  ALL  JOY  AND  PEACE  IN  BELIEVING,

THAT  YE  MAY  ABOUND  IN  HOPE,

THROUGH  THE  POWER  OF  THE

HOLY  GHOST."

Debbie, Thank you for letting us know about others that we can say a prayer for.

Your ATC is so delicate, and I appreciate your telling us what you used in the making of it.

I know you cherish the gifts that Cindy sent you - how lovely, how thoughtful.

It seems that you have a wonderful mother-in-law. She is another gift to cherish.

What a beautiful post today Debbie. I am so glad to get to see what some of the ATC cards look like as I am on my first one. My swapper has been sick and I have not heard from her. That is a beautiful picture of Richard's mother. She does look so very full of God's spirit. Just love the picture of the tree and the tag with Amy's picture on it. Hope you are better now and Richard too. Blessings

Debbie, so very sorry to hear you have been sick. No wonder -- too much stress. I hope the happiness of the impending move will outweigh the stress of it, and bring some sunshine into your days.

Your post is just full of wonderful things. The beautiful ATCs, the gifts you received, your MIL -- I was sorry to read of your friend's husband passing.

Debbie, I am sorry you have been sick. I'm also sorry for Elizabeth losing Roy. Man life is so hard some times.

I like your 'purple' ATC card.

Your tribute to your MIL is awesome. She sounded like a great woman. Happy birthday to her.

Feel better soon.

Hello Dear Debbie...

I just wanted to stop by and let you know you've been in my thoughts. I'm unable to keep up with everything and have cut down my blogging so that I can do someactual crocheting and spend more time with my dog, Gizzy, who will be 13 on November 1st. I don't want to have any regrets when the time comes.

I also love dragonflies, especially since I learned they eat mosquitoes - wich makes them my allies too...We had a lot of dragonflies this year and not as many mosquitoes as some years and for that I'm thankful.

You seem to be keeping busy with your swaps every month. I finally entered two, but that's about all I can handle for now since it's only 100 days till Christmas and I'm rushing around already ;-) I have to crochet something in time to mail to my famly in Germany and it's a bit complicated, so I have to work on it every day.

Your ACEO card is pretty. I love recycling and reusing. My Oma (grandma) in Germany taught me how to make a card house from post cards. In those days people sent a lot of postcards and they were all the same size, but not so much anymore.

Congrats on your MIL 90th - what an accomplishment. She looks like a very handsome lady. My mom will be 85 in December and whenever I talk to her (in Germany) she keeps saying that she never thought she would live that long. Did you ever hear of that silly saying: "If I would have known I would live that long, I would have taken better care of myself?" Isn't that silly?

Well, it's late and I'm off to bed. Just wanted to say hello and I have been thinking of you (and Amy) and wish you nothing but the best always.

Yours truly,
Doris (and Gizzy)

Debbie~ After your visit and kind words I had to come see who has the same taste as me. After looking around your blog we have a lot in common too! I was raised in Oklahoma, am a born again christian and also love the lost art of letter writing to name a few. I didnt know that we were supposed to post our ATC's I thought that I was only supposed to post the ATC that I recieved and then she would post mine. This is my first month and will not make that mistake next time. Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you again soon!

I forgot to mention that your tag for the ATC Swap is beautiful. I think it is great that you took the time to go to her site and see what it is she liked before creating.

Yes, I chat with Cindy daily and she is such an inspiration in my life. I was truly blessed when I met her. She is so generous and her gift is as awesome as she it.

Deb, I am SO sorry I have not sent your ATC yet. I am mailing it tomorrow. I have been only "half here" most of the month and having lots of pain, difficulty breathing, all the stuff I hate talking about and seldom do! I LOVE the card, the sweet bookmark, the little things you sent me are so precious. I cried. I could not help it. I can never thank you enough because you understand!!!
