A TITANIC PINK SATURDAY

XOXOXO...AMY...XOXOXO
ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS

PLEASE  DROP  BY  AND

SAY  HELLO  TO  BEVERLY,

THE  WONDERFUL  LADY  THAT

BRINGS  US  PINK  SATURDAY

EVERY  WEEK.

WELCOME  TO

A  PINK  SATURDAY

"TITANIC"

ONE  OF  MY  FAVORITE

MOVIES  BECAUSE  OF  THE

BEAUTIFUL  GOWNS,

HAUNTING  MUSIC,

AND  ROSE  FOUND  THAT

LOVE  ALWAYS  TRUMPS

WEALTH.

YOU  CAN'T  BUY  INTEGRITY

HONESTY,  AND

HUMAN  KINDNESS.

I  WOULD  HAVE  RATHER

GONE  DOWN  WITH  THE  SHIP

THAN  BEEN  IN  A  ROW  BOAT

THAT  REFUSED  TO  GO  BACK

AND  HELP  THE  PEOPLE

SCREAMING  IN  THE  ICY

WATERS.

BEAUTIFUL  GOWN  COVERED

IN  PINK  BEADS.

THIS  IS  FRANKLIN  MINTS

VERSION

OF  ROSE'S  DRESS!

THIS  WAS  THE  BEAUTIFUL

COAT  ROSE  WORE  WHEN

WATER  STARTED  COMING

INTO  THE  BOAT.

SO  STUNNING  WITH  THE

BLACK  BEADING.

image from google

THIS  DRESS  WAS  WHAT

SHE  HAD  ON  UNDER  THE

COAT.  THE  CLOTHING

WAS  SO  GORGEOUS  DURING

THIS  TIME  PERIOD.

GOOGLE  DID  SAY  THIS  WAS

FROM  POLYVORE.

image from google

THIS  WAS  AN  AWESOME  ARTICLE

ABOUT  A  LADY  NAMED  EVA.

SHE  WAS  7  YEARS  OLD  WHEN

THE  TITANIC  WENT  DOWN.

HER  FATHER  PERISHED  THAT

NIGHT  BUT  EVA  AND  HER

MOTHER  LIVED.

SHE  SAID  THE  SHIP  WENT

STRAIGHT  UP  IN  THE  AIR

BEFORE  IT  WENT  DOWN

INTO  THE  WATER.

A  VERY  INTERESTING  STORY.

GRACIE  ANN  WORE  HER  PINK

GOWN  WITH  BLACK  BEADS

TODAY.  SHE  LIKES  TO  GET

INTO  CHARACTER  ON

PINK  SATURDAY.

THANK  YOU  FOR  TAKING

THE  TIME  TO  VISIT  GRACIE

ANN  AND  ME  TODAY.

YOU  WILL  FIND

FRESH

CHERRY   COBBLER  IN  THE

DINING  ROOM  WITH  TEA

OR  COFFEE.

THEN  JOIN  ME  IN  THE

GARDEN  AND  WE  WILL

LISTEN  TO  THE  ROBINS

SING  AND  SMELL  THE

ROSES.  OH  YES!

ALL  IS  WELL  WITH  THE

WORLD.

O, Debbie...your writings and thoughts always make me feel good about the world. Your sweet heart and spirit just jumps off your pages. and..I thank you for them.

TITANIC...always one of my favorites. It is about time for me to watch it again, with grands. They all loved it, too.
The clothes...Oh, MY! They are so beautiful...and, of course, "Rose" could have worn a burlap sack and looked like a million dollars in
it. :))

Good Morning Debbie! Thanks ever so much for stopping by this morning and for the heads up about the photos. I fixed them right away!!!
Can you believe I've never seen Titanic? I was pregnant when it came out and I was afraid I'd cry for a week and well, one of these days I guess I need to rent it. The clothes are amazing.
Happy Pink Saturday to you!

Hi Debbie! What a lovely post of Pinkness about the Titanic! You've a wonderful spirit and I know we'd be friends if we met! Now you said the magic word when you said 'cobbler'! :)
Wish I could pop over! :)

Weren't the gowns simply gorgeous back then? Of course, only the very rich were able to dress like that. Beautiful fabrics, lace and baubles.
I love that movie, but I prefer the older one in black and white. Barbara Stanwick I think. Your post is fantastic this week Debbie and makes me want to watch it all over again. Such brave people and many cowards too. Shows us all sides of humanity.
I love your idea with the faux cakes and altho I am not a cake designer, you have given me an idea. I will let you know if it gets born. Happy Pink Saturday girlfriend, Char

Happy Pink Saturday, Debbie! I loved the dresses in that movie, and I loved the music, too. One of the richest men in the world went down with that ship, and he died a hero.

Happy Pink Saturday...

I don't know what just happened, but my post didn't go through. I enjoyed this movie... the costumes and the music. One of the wealthiest men in the world went down with that ship, and he died a hero. He allowed the women and children to get into the lifeboats first.

Happy PS, Debbie...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Didn't you love the costumes in that movie!! My favorite was the flowing dress she wore under the coat! I love how when she and Leo ran through the working level of the ship the camera caught it in slow-mo blowing in the wind. I have just always loved that dress!!! In another life I could have been a costumes designer! LOL Great Pink Sat. post.
Thanks for stopping by.

Cherry cobbles sounds mighty delicious this time of year! Titanic is a fabulous movie. I love the costumes too. Can you imagine being on that ship, how absolutely terrifying it must have been.
Have a beautiful Sunday Debbie, I thought about you on Amy's Birthday and I hope you came through it alright and the days are starting to offer more hope to you. We all know she would NOT want you to grieve so deeply forever. She would so want you to find joy again.

Titanic is one of my favorite movies too. I toured the Titanic exhibit in Branson a few years ago. I took my time looking at all the displays. I was there 3+ hours. It was amazing!

What a genius post!!! Looks like I'm going to have to find a pattern for that gorg jacket. To answer your question... The macarons are both crunchy AND creamy. Pure heaven. Yes, do be sure to try yourself. Thanks for stopping by!

I'm a Titanic buff -- haven't seen the movie but have researched the ship for decades. Little Eva was right - the ship broke in 2 and the stern was straight up before plunging down. How horrible! Sad so many perished and that there were not lifeboats for all.

Debbie, Happy PiNk to you...

Oh, that was such a fabulous movie. I've watched it twice. I really need to add it to my DVD collection. The clothes were so dreamy, weren't they? ♥

Thanks so much for visiting me.
I hope your week is off to a great
start.
