MOTHER  AND  DADDY

MOTHER  AND  DADDY  NEVER

THEIR

ANNIVERSARY.

HE  ALWAYS  BOUGHT  HER

ROSES,  A  CARD,

AND  JEWELRY.

IF  SHE  WAS  NOT  WORKING

SHE  COOKED  HIM  HIS

FAVORITE  MEAL, GAVE

  HIM  A  CARD,

AND  SOME THING  HE  WANTED

IN  THE  WAY  OF  FISHING  OR

TOOLS.

WHEN  SHE  HAD  TO  WORK,  SHE

ALWAYS  COOKED  HIM  HIS

FAVORITE  MEAL  ON  HER

DAY  OFF  EITHER  BEFORE

OR  AFTER.

WHEN  GRANDMA  CHOATE  WAS

ALIVE  AND  MOTHER  WAS

RUNNING  A  FIRECRACKER  STAND

WITH  HER....

DADDY  WOULD  DRIVE  THE

AND  BRING  MOTHER  RED  ROSES.

GRANDMA  CHOATE  ALWAYS  MADE

FRIED  CHICKEN,  POTATO  SALAD,

AND  CORN  ON  THE  COB.

ICE  TEA  IN  A  GLASS  JAR.

OH  GRANDMA'S  CHICKEN  WOULD

JUST  MAKE  YOUR  TASTE  BUDS

KEEP  SCREAMING  FOR  MORE...

AND  ONLY  MY  MOTHER  CAN

COME  CLOSE  TO  GRANDMA

CHOATE'S  POTATO  SALAD.

THE  RED,  WHITE,  AND  BLUE...

FOURTH  OF  JULY...

HAS  ALWAYS  BEEN  MY

FAVORITE

CELEBRATION.

I  LOVE  IT.

IT  STANDS  FOR

FAMILY

TRADITION

CELEBRATION

FREEDOM

THE  AMERICAN  FLAG

HOME  MADE  ICE  CREAM

LOUD  BLACK  CATS,  HIGH-

PITCHED  CHASERS,  AND

LADY  FINGERS

BELIEF

FAITH

AND  ALL  THE  MEN  AND

WOMEN  WHO  FOUGHT...

WHO  HAVE  DIED...

AND  WHO  STILL

BRAVELY  DEFEND  OUR

RIGHT

FOR  FREEDOM.

IS  TODAY

JULY  2,  2010.

Debbie,
What a beautiful post!! So loving!!
I am so sorry that I did not get back to you sooner to answer your question about my back yard gate. It goes to a steep hill that is between our row of townhouses and the one behind me. If i ever had to get out that way I would have to crawl on my hands and knees between trees that all the neighbors planted for privacy!! So the only access to our house is through our front door!!
Have a wonderful holiday weekend!!

Hugs,
Debbie

Happy Anniversary to your parents!
Thanks for the nice compliment on my header. Sorry the mosaic did not work out that I sent in March. I like the one you have now - looks great with your new look.
I have not decided where the birdcage is going just yet. If I can ever get some painting done, then maybe I can decide.
Have a great weekend and Happy 4th!
