IT'S PINK SATURDAY TIME

XOXOXO...AMY...XOXOXO
ALWAYS  IN  OUR  HEARTS

IT  IS  ALREADY  THAT  TIME  OF  THE  WEEK:

"PINK  SATURDAY"

DOES  IT  SEEM  TO  YOU  THE  WEEK  JUST

FLIES  BY?  IT  DOES  TO  ME.  ONCE  TUESDAY

SHOWS  UP,  IN  A  BLINK  IT  SEEMS  SATURDAY

IS  HERE,  ALONG  WITH  ALL  MY  FRIENDS  WHO

LOVE  THE  COLOR  PINK.

PLEASE  STOP  BY  AND  TELL  OUR  LOVELY

HOSTESS,  BEVERLY  HELLO.  WHILE  THERE  YOU

WILL  FIND  THE  LIST  OF  ALL  THOSE  WHO

PARTICIPATE  IN

"PINK  SATURDAY."

THANK  YOU  BEVERLY!!!!!

I  LOVE  HOLLYHOCKS.  I  HAVE  FOND  MEMORIES

OF  MY  MOTHER  MAKING  HOLLYHOCK  DOLLS

WHEN  I  WAS  YOUNG.  THEY  REALLY  LOOKED  MORE

LIKE  ANGELS  WITH  THE  DELICATE,  RUFFLED

BLOOM.

THANK  YOU  HOLLY  AT  BANNER  HAUS  FOR  THIS

ADORABLE  GRAPHIC.

I  WAS  SO  BLESSED  THIS  WEEK.  I  RECEIVED  A

LOVELY  PACKAGE  IN  THE  MAIL.

I  WON  A  GIVE  AWAY  AT

IF  YOU  HAVE  NOT  VISITED  DEBBIE'S  BLOG  I

ENCOURAGE  YOU  TO  DO  SO.  SHE  LOVES

VICTORIAN,  BEAUTIFUL  DOLLS,  AND  HER  HOME

IS  OVER  FLOWING  WITH  LOVE.

SHE  IS  A  NURSE, R.N.,  WHO  WORKS  FULL  TIME

AND  STILL  FINDS  TIME  TO  BRING  BEAUTY

AND  INSPIRATION  TO  BLOG  LAND.

SHE  CREATES  THE  MOST  BEAUTIFUL  THINGS!

  THE  PICTURES  DO  NOT  CAPTURE  THE

BEAUTY,  DAZZLE,  AND  RADIANCE.

FIRST  I  WANTED  TO  SHOW  YOU

PEARLS,  PINK  DRIED  ROSEBUDS,  AND

A  WHITE  MILK  GLASS  SHOE

I  WANTED  PINK  SATURDAY  TO

BE  SO  SPECIAL  FOR  YOU.

YOU  SPEND  PART  OF  YOUR  SATURDAY

TO  COME  VISIT  ME

SO  I  TRIED  TO  CREATE  A  POST

THAT  WOULD  BE  WORTHY  TO  SEE.

LET'S  GET  STARTED.

FIRST  I  WANT  TO  SHOW  YOU  ONE  OF

MY  FAVORITE  THINGS.

IT  IS  A  VINTAGE  GLOVE  HOLDER  THAT

WAS  ALWAYS  SETTING  IN  THE  SPARKLY

GLASS  CASE  OF  THE  PRESTIGIOUS  STORE

CALLED  LAMBERTS.

YOU  WOULD  FIND  NO  FINGER  PRINTS  ON  THEIR

GLASS  CASES  AND  IT  WAS  FUNERAL  HOME

QUIET  IN  THERE.

  WE  COULD  NOT  AFFORD

TO  BUY  OUR  CLOTHES  THERE  BUT  WHEN  THEY

DECIDED  TO  GO  OUT  OF  BUSINESS  AND  AUCTION

OFF  THEIR  THINGS  MY  DH  AND  I  WAS  THERE.

THIS  BEAUTY  WAS  DOWN  IN  THE  BASEMENT

ON  A  DIRT  SHELF...FAR  FROM  HER  BEAUTIFUL

GLASS  CASE.  THE  AUCTION  WAS  WELL  3/4TH'S

OVER  WHEN  THEY  STARTED  IN  THE  BASEMENT.

AN  ANTIQUE  DEALER  WANTED  IT  BUT  HER  PHONE

RANG  AND  SHE  WALKED  OFF  TO  TALK...I  PUR-

CHASED  THIS  BEAUTY  FOR  $3.00...SHE  WAS

MEANT  TO  BE  MINE

NOW  YOU  ASK..."WHAT  DOES  THIS  HAVE  TO

DO  WITH  PINK  SATURDAY  WHEN  THIS

A*M*A*Z*I*N*G  VINTAGE  GLOVE  HOLDER

IS  GOLD?"

THE  GIVE  AWAY  THAT  I  WON  FROM  PRECIOUS

DEBBIE-DABBLE  WAS  A  BEAUTIFUL  GLOVE...

NO,  IT  IS  A  STUNNING  GLOVE.  SHE  HAS

EMBELLISHED  IT WITH  DELICATE  RIBBON  ROSES,

DAINTY  PINK  BEADS,  LACE  AND  GLITTERY

SEQUINS.

THE  GLOVE  ITSELF  IS  A  VERY  SHEER  WHITE

WITH  WHITE  POLK-A-DOTS.

DEBBIE,  I  JUST  LOVE  THE  GLOVE  I  WON.  I

WISH  EVERYONE  COULD  SEE  IT  UP  CLOSE.

THANK  YOU  SO  VERY  MUCH.

WHEN  ONE  DOOR  OF  HAPPINESS  CLOSES,

ANOTHER  ONE  OPENS,  BUT  OFTEN  WE  LOOK  SO

LONG  AT  THE  CLOSED  DOOR  THAT  WE

DO  NOT  SEE  THE  ONE  THAT  HAS  BEEN  OPENED

FOR  US.

~~HELEN  KELLER

DEAR  LORD,  HELP  US  TO  SEE  THE  OPEN  DOOR

SO  WE  CAN  IMPACT  THE  WORLD  FOR  YOUR

PASSED  ON  TO  GLORY.  PLEASE  REMEMBER  THIS

THE  BLOG  I  WOULD  LIKE  TO  SUGGEST  TODAY

IS  :

LIBBY  IS  A  BUBBLY,  SWEET  CHRISTIAN

WOMAN.  ON  HER  BLOG  IS  A  CROCHETED

PURSE  MADE  FROM  PLASTIC  SACKS  FROM

WAL-MART  AND  VARIOUS  OTHER  PLACES.

THEY  CUT  THE  BAGS  INTO  STRIPS  AND  TIED

THEM  TOGETHER AND  THEN  STARTED

CROCHETING.  THIS  PURSE  IS  AWESOME

AND  IT  IS  DEFINITELY  A  "GREEN  PROJECT".

IN  OUR  TOWN  YOU  CAN  CERTAINLY  SEE

WAL-MART  SACKS  EVERY  WHERE,  AND

ESPECIALLY  IN  THE  TREES.
~~~~~~~
THANK  YOU  SO  VERY  MUCH  FOR  STOPPING
BY  TO  SEE  GRACIE  ANN  AND  ME.
WE  LOVE  WHEN  YOU  STOP  BY...YOU  ARE  OUR
Hi Debbie!
What a lovely post and I love the gold hand and the glove you won to display on it... how perfect is that?? Congrats on your win of the giveaway.
I love Helen Keller's quote - so very true. When we sold our house and had no place to go I was looking at the closed door and there before me was the open door to a wonderful peaceful place. We are still very busy trying to settle in but love it so far. And I'm sure we will be here a long time.
Thanks for your enspiring words Debbie, they mean so much to us!
Love & hugs, Sherry
Debbie, I love the glove and the holder. You are right about all of it, it's gorgeous. Please don't think for a minute that I have forgotten about you. It's me, my life right now revolves around pt and trying to get anything done with a bad arm. It's all going to take time for me to get back my arm motion. I can't life it, so everything is hard, but getting better everyday. My website is stale from lack of adding items, so trying to update everything. I don't get to blog for long because my wrist and arm get so tired. It won't last forever tho and so I am staying very positive. Out of the sling for good, that is a joy. The desert heat is coming and the sling got hot and sweaty too. Believe it or not, I do keep up with you on my dashboard, I just don't post as much. This is one of the reasons I have taken all the breaks from ps, it's hard to take pictures with one arm. I hope all is well for you and your family. I do miss visiting you and will try and get back more often. Your post always leave me upbeat. Happy Pink Saturday my friend, Char
Hi Debbie, Oh what an incredible post with such pretties you won from sweet Debbie. Your glove stand is wonderful and how perfect the gorgeous glove looks on it. I love H. Keller's quote.
I just noticed on your sidebar and under dear Amy's pic, the dates. I want to share that my son was born about a month after Amy on 8-10-76 but his original due date was 7-6-76. I had to share the similarities. Sending you a great big hug dear friend and thank you for your kind comments today. I can't tell you how sweet it is to be blessed with your friendship.
Have a great week.
XO Celestina Marie
