HAPPY PINK SATURDAY

XOXOXOXO...AMY...XOXOXOXO

TODAY  IS  HAPPY  PINK  SATURDAY  AND  THE  FIRST  DAY  OF  SPRING.

ABOUT  0100  OUR  NORTHERLY  WINDS  WERE  SALUTING  AT  45  - 50 MPH.

WE  HAD  ICEY  RAIN  AND  I  THINK  THE  SNOW  IS  COMING  LATER.

BUT  I  AM  WARM  AND  SNUGGLY  AND  VERY ANXIOUS  TO  SEE  ALL  THE

OTHER  PINK  SATURDAY  POSTS.   I  HAVE  MISSED  SO  MANY,  IT  WAS  DIFFICULT

TO  SEE  IF  I  WAS  GOING  TO  CONTINUE  PARTICIPATING..........YES,  I  AM,  BECAUSE

THERE  ARE  JUST  TOO  MANY  BEAUTIFUL  FRIENDS  AND  THIS  IS  OUR  DAY.

BEVERLY,  I  WANT  TO  THANK  YOU  FOR  BEING  A  SWEET,  DEDICATED,

PROFESSIONAL,  BEAUTIFUL  HOSTESS.   YOU  HAVE  A  BIG  JOB  AND  YOU

DO  IT  LIKE  IT  IS  SO  EASY  AND  I  KNOW  IT  IS  NOT.  THANK  YOU!!!

PLEASE  VISIT  BEVERLY'S  BEAUTIFUL  SIGHT  AND  SEE  THE  LIST  OF  ALL

THE  PINK  LOVERS.

BEVERLY'S  BLOG  IS:

THINGS  I  LOVE

HEARTS  THAT  ARE  PINK  AND  WHITE  POLK-A-DOTTED

THEY  JUST  MAKE  ME  SMILE  AND  THINK  OF  EASTER  DRESSES

OR  THE  FIRST  DAY  OF  SCHOOL  DRESSES

OR  SWEET  CURTAINS

VICTORIAN  CALLING  CARDS

OH  HOW  WONDERFUL  IT  WOULD  BE  IF  WE  STARTED  THIS  TRADITION  AGAIN.

IT  WOULD  EVEN  BE  WONDERFUL  IF  WE  COULD  LEAVE  CALLING  CARDS  FOR

EACH  OTHER.  I  AM  COMPUTER  HANDICAPPED  BUT  SOME  OF  YOU  ARE  REALLY

GIFTED  WITH  MAKING  THINGS  LIKE  THESE.

I  SO  WISH  YOU  COULD  SEE  THIS  PICTURE  CLEARER.

IT  IS  OF  OUR  BELOVED  IN  HER  TAP  NUMBER  ROUTINE..  THE  OUTFIT  WAS  PINK

SILK  WITH  BEAUTIFUL  BLACK  LACE  AND  HER  ARM  GLOVES.

THE  AMAZING  THING  ABOUT  OUR  SWEET  AMY  IS  2  MINUTES  INTO

"EVERY"  ROUTINE  SHE  ALWAYS  NEEDED  TO  "PEE"   YOU  COULD  SET

YOUR  WATCH  BY  IT.  YOU  CAN'T  HARDLY  SEE  IT  BUT  SHE  HAD  A  BIG

BLACK  PLUME  TIARIA.    SHE  WAS  SO  SWEET  AND  SO  BEAUTIFUL  WITH

BIG  BLUE  EYES.  SHE  BROUGHT  US  SO  MUCH  JOY.

THIS  WAS  A  PINK  VINTAGE  SEWING  BOX  I  PURCHASED  AT  AN  ESTATE  SALE

SEVERAL  YEARS  AGO  FOR  MY  AMY.  SHE  LOVED  VINTAGE  THINGS  AS  MUCH  AS

I  DID,  ESPECIALLY  CLOTHES  AND  SHOES.

THE  SEWING  BASKET  IS  SETTING  ON  SOME  BEAUTIFUL  EMBROIDED  FLOWERS  AND  PINK

TATTING  ALL  THE  WAY  AROUND,   I  TREASURE  TATTING.

A  DEAR  FRIEND  DORIS  SENT  HER  THE  BEAR  AND  IF  YOU  LOOK  VERY  CLOSELY

SHE  SENT  A  VINTAGE  FLOCKED  ANGEL  AND  WE  PUT  IT  ON  THE  BEAR.

THE  INSIDE  OF  THE  SEWING  BOX  IS  BEAUTIFUL.  THE  LID   I  SUSPECT,   IS A SILK BLEND

OF  SOME  TYPE  BUT  IT  IS    A  BEAUTIFUL  PINK. INSIDE  SHE  HAD  SOME  BROWN  , THE   TYPE

OF  MATERIAL  ESCAPES  ME...?GAUZE...YOU USE IT  FOR  WEDDINGS.......THAT  WAS  UNDER

A  SKIRT  AND  SHE  HAD  CUT  SOME  OFF.   WALKER  IS  THE  ASSISTANT  OF  FILMING

TO  MAKE  SURE  WE  DO  THINGS  RIGHT.

"THANK   YOU"  FOR  SPENDING  A  PART  OF  YOUR  PINK  SATURDAY  WITH  US.

WE  SO  ENJOY  THE  VISITS.  IT  MAKES  US  JOYOUS  AND  WE  WANT  TO

MAKE  YOU  JOYOUS.

Pretty pinks!

I bet Amy combined a lot of her vintage pieces with modern pieces of clothing, creating totally unique outfits. There was a grad student who could do that when I was at the U of Arizona. She always looked like a million bucks!

Walker is a cutie! Those pale yellow/tan kitties are such good ones. I never had a bad one with that coloration yet.

What a pretty PS post. I love that beautiful calling card. I, too, would love to see that tradition revived. Your daughter looks so adorable in that little tap outfit. Such sweet precious memories ~ cherish them always. I know you must miss her so.

Happy PINK SATURDAY!

Happy PiNk, Debbie

I love that PiNk sewing basket...oh la la...that would definitely come home with me if I ran across it. :0)

Don't you dare stop PiNk Saturday! :0) You just have fun and visit who you can, when you can..it would be impossible for most to visit every single person each week as large as we have grown...I have fun with using the master list in different ways so I visit different people along the way. Just have fun!!

Thanks so much for visiting me today to see all of the beautiful dress forms and my rose petal photography. Come by anytime... :0)

I hope you are enjoying wonderful weather for this first day of Spring!

Hugs,
Stephanie ♥

I too like the idea of calling cards. I wish we had them...business cards for social visits. Joni P.S. but then the whole idea of dropping in for visits has gone away too.

I think the whole calling card idea should definitely make a comeback! Amy was so sweet in her little ballet costume, I wanted to be a ballerina when I was little too. I guess most little girls do at some point. It must be the tutus!

It is wonderful to have you back for Pink Saturday Debbie, I hope you join in more often, if you feel up to it. Happy Pink sweet lady!

Hi Dear Debbie,
What a lovely pink post. The pink sewing box is just adorable and so like Amy and the pink ballerina costume is so sweet.
You and Amy are always in my thoughts and prayers and everytime I see a pink sky or pink cloud I know that it is Amy zooming by on her pink bicycle by to say hello.
Blessings,
Erin and Bentley

Debbie,
I am trying to catch up with my blogging. The picture of Amy and the story of her having to go to the bathroom 2 min. into the dance is so cute. Isn't it funny how we remember the good times with our loved ones. Such sweet memories! I bet she and Amber are dancing in Heaven together :)
The sewing basket is beautiful! I know Amy loved it.
We had a beautiful day here Sat. and today is raining.
Thanks for your sweet comment on my last post ... I needed that!
Blessings,
Donna
